Briefing• Definition: A short talk that give already interested in knowledgeable

audience members the specific information they need to do their job.

• Nurses and Police Officers attend briefings before each shift. Other briefings focus on the future. The chiefs are informed on what specials of the day they should cook.

• Things to consider: Length: Should be between 2 – 3 minutes on a given subject. Organization: Simply uses brevity, no attention getters required. Content: Summarized position. Presentation Aids: Visual Aids Language and Delievery: Straight to the point.
