ACTIVITIES OF NAVAL WING

NAVAL cadets are trained to develop their skills

in NAVAL WING activities . Various camps are

organised by 1TN NAVAL UNIT NCC for this

SEMAPHORE

Semaphore is a short period applicable method

of communication in which message is passed

within the visual distance clearly from one ship to

another ship.

RIGGING

Ropes are extremely useful for securing items at sea.

They require regular maintenance and have to be stowed

in a proper manner to prevent deterioration . This

prevents ropes from losing their strength . This Naval

activity is called RIGGING.

FIRING

The perfect weapon training is given by the Permanent

Instructor of 1TN NAVAL UNIT NCC.

There are two types of firing activities in NCC .

They are as follows :

SHIP MODELLING

Ship models are scale models of ships. Ship modelling

is the craft as old as ship building. Naval Cadets are

trained to make working models of boats

BOAT PULLING is a naval activity in which a

boat is propelled by oars alone.

NAU SANIK CAMP

This centrally organized Naval Camp

is conducted annually for selected Naval

Wing Cadets. Boat pulling, semaphore, tent

pitching, drill competitions are the main

attraction of the camp. It is generally held at

Naval Maritime Academy (NAMAC) at

Vishakhapatnam but started to be held at

Karwar from 2014 .

NAU SANIK CAMP 2014

In the year 2014 , NSC for Naval cadets was

held at Karwar from 21/12/2014 to 01/01/2015. The

events were Semaphore, Rigging (Seamanship

practicals), Boat pulling, service subject, Health &

hygiene, Best cadet, Ship modeling, Firing,

Contingent Drill and Cultural events. Our College

Naval Cadets won many awards and they received a

special appreciation from the Depty Director

General COMMODORE K.S.IYAPPA (FORMER DDG

OF NCC) .

Many of our College Naval Cadets have participated

in this prestigious NAU SANIK Camp .

REPUBLIC DAY CAMP

THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS CAMP

NCC Republic Day Camp is the culmination

of all NCC activities. RDC is held at Garrison

Parade Ground, Delhi from 1st

to 29th

Jan. In

total , 1850 Selected NCC Cadets from all the

17 Directorates take part in this Camp.

The Camp is inaugurated by the Honorable

Vice President of India and culminates with

Prime Minister's Rally on 28th

January .

She bagged SILVER MEDAL in this competition .

She also participated in the 25th

G.V. MAVLANKAR SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP

COMPETITION and 59th

NATIONAL SHOOTING

CHAMPIONSHIP. She secured 3rd

POSITION among all

the NCC cadets and she stood in the 7th

POSITION when

competed with other National Level shooters .

Now, she had been selected for the INTERNATIONAL

SELECTION TRIALS 2016.
