WHEREAS, pursuant to a well advertised call of the citizens of NewlandTownship, Pasquotank County, for tnepurpose of di&cussing tne matter 01assuming a bondedness indebtednessfor the improvement of the public roadsof said county, a largely attended meet-ing of, the residents of said county andtownship, was held in the auditoriumof the Newland High - School on theevening of Friday, "February 14th, 1919,and whereas, it was the sense of "thismeeting, . as expressed ' by enthusiasticand unanimous vote, that the citizensof Newland Township regard the movement looking to the building of modernhighways throughout this communityas a matter of paramount Importance,therefore, Be it Resolved:

First, That we favor and cordiallyindorse the road bill urged by theChamber of Commerce of ElizabethCity, and introduced in the General Assembly by our . Representative Mr. WIO.
