WHAT IS TWITTER, ANYWAY?
Twitter is a live information network feed made
up of individual 140-character messages called
Tweets shared amongst those who choose to
follow others
Twitter is a free-range conversation open to all,
conducted in public, and in the moment. “an
instant and ever-changing newspaper”
You can “tailor” that newspaper you receive
based on who you choose to follow and hash-tags
you search for

tweet originally written by

PRT = Please retweet, a plea
to others for further sharing
RT = Retweet. The tweet
you're looking at was
forwarded to you by another

LEVEL 1: SIGN UP AND LURK
How to create an account:
Go to http://twitter.com and click the sign up box
Enter your name, your email address, and a password.
Select a username
Click Create my account. (You may be asked to complete a Captcha to let twitter know that you're human!)
Next, find and follow accounts that interest you. Twitter encourages first-time users to follow 4-5 people or groups as a start.
Following others means you are subscribing to their Tweets.

1. EASIEST: Hit Retweet only
Retweet to share info without having to add your own comments. This
reflects your “vote” or support for the statement(s) made by others.
2.MODERATE: Add a little comment like “I agree!” to reply to
someone else’s tweet (use their twitter username – preceded by @sign in
your tweet.)
3. CHALLENGING: Create Original Messages: Post a
completely new original message about something of interest to you: a
new clinical finding, your opinion, etc. Share facts, data, research
articles, editorials, commentaries, etc.
