Twinkling on the Brink is a book of love poems for all occasions and relationships. There are poems about first chance encounters, that first lovers’ quarrel, making out, unconditional love, and even about that lost love. This book can be used to woo that one on the tip of your mind, or just to show that special someone that you’re thinking of them. To My Readers; Twinkling on the Brink refers to that giddy, glowing feeling when you begin to fall in love. Love is a strange thing. One of those perfect, harmonies allowed in nature. Love is a diaphanous shimmering veil which we look through to see that special one. Sometimes love is very hard to express. Twinkling on the Brink also refers to my definition of what poetry should be; a description of transcendence twinkling on the brink of understanding. Poetry is trying to describe the indescribable, like trying to explain heaven. Love is that little slice of heaven that most of us experience at one time or another. Love is transcendent. Love poems are a description of that transcendent beauty. Love is beauty and perfection beyond explanation. But, good poetry allows us to glimpse these unreachable beauties, it’s like the first star shimmering on the horizon of consciousness. Words are funny things, they allow us to communicate and exchange all sorts of ideas and information. Certain things are still hard to communicate. I enjoy writing poetry. I hope you enjoy reading these poems as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them. Keep in mind: as plain and dysfunctional as the world may seem, every once and a while you still get a glimpse of that perfection when everything falls in line. Thank You and Enjoy,

First Kiss of Winter Beautiful wild field of flowers, Crying tears of autumn showers. Showers of flitting falling leaves, Autumn steals away like a thief. Thief in the night. Stolen kisses, Lovers delight. Beautiful sight, radiant bliss. Winter glistens, Shining so bright. Glowing blue round full moonlight. Lovers touch, My heart quickens. Snowflake kisses fall. Beautiful light voice flame flickers. Burning desirous touch tickles, My heart jumps at your angelic call. Thoughts of more bring on calm. Beautiful sparkling winter still, Twinkling stars in the air is chill. Clouds of love vaporize through their lips. Divine eyes open, Sparkling magnificently to match the sky. So beautiful and perfect, one lonely teardrop drips, Melted by the heat of love. Memories forever frozen in time; Memories twinkling above, Blinking, forever frozen stars in the sky.

Awaken
Inspiration beautifully floats
Around, particles stuck in the web. Fortunately food for thought,
Contemplative victory is caught. Crystal dangling dewdrop thread.
Silk perfection, spun on a spider web. Crying tears of unearthly presence, Thoughts of angelic wings flutters. Beat sorrowfully through my head
Filling me with thoughts of wonder Inspired by beauteous perfection.
Yet unable to communicate. Barely a discernable shred;
A pale pink shade To the dewy red perfect rose.
Angels bring us closer, But only the ones who are chosen.
Most are closed Clothed in black wings,
Unable to hear the chorus sing, Awaken…

Wind Whispers
Waves of wind trickle by, Brushing softly.
Kisses from the sky Butterfly flickers tingle,
Singing lullabies. The wind whispers
My name. She says she's OK.
Whispering soft nothing. Felt yet unseen.
The blindman's language, So sensitive and clean.
Wind, whisper my name And make me see the unseen.

To Feel Your Touch
I long to feel your touch. Peals of soft laughter,
Giggles of delight and wonder. Awed by your beauty and lust. Lost in the satin, never enough.
Smoothly caress rose petal, Bringing thoughts of heaven.
Angelic wings pulse With wonder lust.
Alight with perfect wings Your touch makes my spirit sing, And soar, and I only want more.
I think of you, And only you I adore.
Teardrops drip dazzling dew, As my spirit clambers and cries for you.

Eye Contact
Reticent and sparkling, I gaze in your eyes. Magnificent and harken to you, I'm hypnotized.
Iridescent iris, eyes made to shine. I see your eyes, opalescent, multi-faceted, pearlize.
Your beautiful stare beckons; I'm aware, now blind. I return your call happily and with a sigh,
Because, now I've met true beauty eye to eye.

Vision of Radiance
Flowers with crystal radiance. Paintbrush butterflies wisp by. Life is but a dream of eternity,
Impressions of beautiful decadence. Semblance of perfection sky.
Cry tears of prismatic ever last, Past years memories forever.
Clever strokes of genius Brush softly, softest of feathers. Enchantment of celestial bliss,
Crying tears of happiness. For this vision of radiance,
I will surely miss.

Wondrous Eyes
The most wondrous eyes, Like glimmering solar disks. You are a beauteous array,
Beautiful jeweled inlay. Hair like soft satin sashes.
Voice glitters, sparkling sonorous splashes. Bewitching fluttering long luscious lashes.
Allure embodied as your bright smile flashes. Enchant and entice, I'm enamored.
Elegant, eloquent, yet my speech is stammered.

Crown of Perfection You are so beautiful... Nothing in nature can compare to thee, It's like a leaf to a tree. God's special gift of angelic grace, Intricately beautiful lovely lace. You are truly God's master work. Woven together on a golden thread, Crown of perfection on a golden head.
