Although, none of us have been faced with a pandemic before; USD 240 students, families, educators and communities have quickly risen to the occasion! We would like to say thank you for your patience, flexibility, kindness and support during this time as we work to respond and adapt accordingly. The next few weeks will not be easy; please know that there will be mistakes, problems, and concerns along the way and we will continue to do our best to serve our most important assets; your children. However, there will also be successes, happiness, hope, laughter, fun, and purpose! With this said, we understand many of you are still working and have several children to help, financial concerns, health issues, and an array of other obligations. As we progress with our educational efforts we want you to know that our School Social Workers remain on staff to support our students and families during these challenging times. But you are the parents and they are with you, so you have control to adjust as needed for your child/children. If you have specific questions be sure to contact your students teachers in the upcoming weeks. A few things to keep in mind: Our calm increases children's calm. • You are the most important Safe Place for your child. • The brain requires safety and connection. Dear Parents and Guardians,

Let us begin by saying how much we miss all of our students and families! Although, none of us have been faced

with a pandemic before; USD 240 students, families, educators and communities have quickly risen to the occasion!

We would like to say thank you for your patience, flexibility, kindness and support during this time as we work to

respond and adapt accordingly.

The next few weeks will not be easy; please know that there will be mistakes, problems, and concerns along the wayand we will continue to do our best to serve our most important assets; your children. However, there will also be

successes, happiness, hope, laughter, fun, and purpose! With this said, we understand many of you are still working

and have several children to help, financial concerns, health issues, and an array of other obligations. As we

progress with our educational efforts we want you to know that our School Social Workers remain on staff to

support our students and families during these challenging times. Please feel free to reach out to them via email,

Crystal VanCoevern: [email protected] and/or Amanda Davidson: [email protected].
