Architecture Studies is an annual publication by the SEU and AA. Twelve was

responsible for its editing and design. We approached the reading experience as a

spacial and topographical exploration, creating layers of hierarchy for each section

within a set structure.

Conservation ofChinese Graphical Collections

Print, Conference

Conservation of Chinese Graphical Collections is a full day conference at the

Royal Asiatic Society, UK. Twelve was approached to design its printed materials.

We treated the paper as a physical medium, producing a double-sided poster

designed to be tiled in layers, and a set of booklets that interlaced with the

gatefolded pages.

The Gopher Hole Identity, Gallery

The Gopher Hole is a project space in Hoxton, London, curated by Beatrice Galilee

and aberrant architecture. Situated under the El Paso diner, Twelve created the

identity and bespoke typeface in reference to American and European road signs

and warning patterns.

An art gallery or art museum is a building or

space for the exhibition of art, usually visual

art. Museums can be public or private, but what

distinguishes a museum is the ownership of a

collection. Paintings are the most commonly

displayed art objects; however, sculpture,

decorative arts, furniture, textiles, costume,

drawings, pastels, watercolors, collages, prints,

artists' books, photographs, and installation art

are also regularly shown. Although primarilyconcerned with providing a space to show works of

visual art, art galleries are sometimes used to

host other artistic activities, such as

performance art, music concerts, or poetry

readings.

Identity, Gallery

TIEN is a London based art agency, committed to supporting and promoting

emerging artists worldwide. The identity is based on the Chinese character Tien,

meaning farm fields. The dynamic nature of the graphics enables the identity to be

repeated, overlapped and extended.

Identity

aberrant architecture is a design studio base in London. It provides services

that address the complementary realms of architecture, art and design. As an

alternative to a printed graphic, Twelve developed a concept based around a

stencil, masking and stamping areas of found imagery.

Zhu Tiantian is a sound artist based in London. Twelve was commissioned to

design a set of printed matter including sound archives and case studies. As a

prerequisite, the design was required to be reproducible using an A4 office printer.

The Markets—Foresight with Insight is an annual publication by the Research

Department of Deutsche Bank. Perfect Day London worked with Twelve to produce

the data conversion and layout in accordance with the corporate guideline.

Collaboration

Sound Message Board is a sound installation at a V&A Friday Late event. It is a live

soundscapes in response to visitors aural messages. Twelve responded to the brief

by developing the graphic concept of a tangram and designed the installation with

Kee Klamp system.

The Hong Kong & Shenzhen Biennale proposed an investigation into the

organization and balance of social life within contemporary urban China. aberrant

architecture exhibited 'Gordon Wu City Local', which was a parody trade stand

offering a bottom-up strategy for the future development of the city and for the

inhabitants of Shenzhen’s villages.
