Hong Kong is a major financial and international trading and logistics hub and is home to many regional offices and headquarters of global corporations. This generates great demand for secure Data Centre facilities and services to support business growth in the Mainland of China and the region. The demand for Data Centres in HK is surging and will continue to increase in coming years. Data Centres are linked with various Building Services System and their stability is one of the crucial factors leading to Data Centres success. In this seminar, the honorable speaker will share his valuable experience on those best practices on the operation and maintenance on the Building Services System for Data Centres, and the common problems that are facing in daily operation will also be discussed.     Ir Chris Ting BSc(Hons), MBA, MBSOMES, MCIBSE, MHKIE, MIFMA, CEng, RPE, FMP Ir Ting is the General Manager, Operations of HKT Facilities Management and overall in-charge of the facilities management service delivery to PCCW and HKT portfolio and associated clients in Hong Kong. He manages a professional team of Facilities Managers, Engineers and technicians in various engineering fields. Ir Ting has more than twenty-five years of experience in the Building Services Engineering Industry and specializes in the provision of professional services in operation and maintenance of various building services plants. Ir Ting graduated from University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering and Master Degree of Business Administration. He is a Chartered Engineer as well as a Registered Professional Engineer. Only the applications from the members of Organizers or Supporting Organizations will be accepted. The deadline of application is on 15 July 2015. Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail on or before 20 July 2015, which has to be presented at the registry of the venue entrance for verification. If the applicants have not received the confirmation e-mail on or before 20 July 2015, their applications will be regarded as unsuccessful. The successful list will also be posted on BSOMES website: http://www.bsomes.org.hk for information. If typhoon signal no. 8 or black rainstorm signal is in force and still hoisted after 5 p.m. on 30 July 2015, the technical talk would be cancelled without further arrangement or notification.
