Adobe Acrobat X Pro



Open the pdf with Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Go to View > Page Display > Single Page View


Now Go to View > Tools > Content


The right side bar as shown will appear. Now select Multimedia > Select Video.


Drag mouse and draw a frame in the page of the pdf where you want to place the video.


A window to pick the video from drive will appear. Select the video and it will automatically get placed.


A window for selecting controller, poster settings will appear. You should select the following:

1. Enable when – The content is clicked

2. Disable when – Disable is selected

3. Playback Style – Play content on page


In the Controls Tab, Select to show all Controls with the Auto Hide controls ON.


The Video is embedded successfully. Preview it to verify.

Adobe InDesign CS6


Go to File > New > Document. Select the Settings required. For example, number of pages, facing pages etc. Click Ok.

Go to File > Place and place the pdf in which you want to embed the video.


An Import options window will open in which you can select the number of pages desired.


Place the pages of the pdf by clicking on the frames.


Select ‘Rectangle Frame Tool’ from the side bar. Drag and create the media frame where you want to place the video.


Go to the drive where you have stored the video. Drag it to the screen and click inside the media frame created.


Go to Window > Interactive > Media. A box to choose settings will open as shown.


You can select Poster and Controller Settings here.1. Poster – You can select a specific poster image to be displayed in play area. (optional)2. Controller – Select ‘Skin Over All’ here. It will show the play, pause, stop settings throughout the video.


Right click on the video and select Fitting > Fit content to Frame.


Preview the File using the SWF Preview button shown


Go to File > Export and save the file as ‘Interactive PDF file‘ at desired location.
