c) Aligning Text, Objects and Graphics in the Layout You can align text, objects and graphics in a layout by selecting them, right clicking, and selecting ‘Align’ in the drop down menu. You can also access ‘Align’ from the ‘Drawing’ drop down menu in the ‘Draw’ toolbar. For example, to align the north point and the scale bar, first select the north point, then whilst holding down the shift key on the keyboard, click on the scale bar to select it too. Click on Drawing in the ‘Draw’ toolbar, go down to Align in the drop down menu and select one of the Align options from the menu to the right. The same technique can be very useful in aligning text boxes.
