    Inc. 1 st each side of next row. Continue until the 1st 12 rows forming 1 circle are finished. On the next RS

    row 1of circle pattern, inc. 1 st each side. Continue increasing 1 st. each side of each every 1st row of circle

    pattern 4 times more for a total of 6 increases 51 sts (55, 59). Work even until sleeve measures 18.

    Shape capBind off 3 sts at beg. of next 2 rows, then dec. 1 st at each end of every row 8 times 29 sts (33,

    37). Dec. 1 st at each end of only the RS rows 7 times (8 times, 9 times) 15 sts (17, 19). Bind off.

    Finishing

    Using 3 needle bind off, hold RS of pieces together and sew shoulder seams (18 sts

    (22, 25) of each shoulder).

    NeckWith smaller needles and RS facing, pick up and k 20 sts from right front, 26

    sts (26, 28) from back, and 21 sts from left front 67 sts (67, 69). Begin with WS row.

    WS row*k3, p1tbl* k3 (3, 1)

    RS rowp3 (3, 1), *k1tbl, p3*. Continue until neck measures 1/2.

    Next RS row*p1, p2tog, k1tbl* p2 50 sts. (For XL p1, *k1tbl, p1, p2tog* 52 sts)

    Next WS row k2, *p1tbl, k2* (For XL, *k2, p1tbl,* k1) Work another 3 1/2 then

    bind off.

    Sew on sleeves. Sew side seam and underarm.

    Buttonband

    With larger needles, pick up 129 sts along left front. Begin with WS row.

    WS row*p1tbl, k3* p1tbl.

    RS row*k1tbl, p3* k1tbl. Continue until band measures 2 1/2. Bind off.

    Buttonhole Band

    Pick up 129 sts along right front. Work the same as left front for 5 rows.

    On row 6 (RS) from the lower edge, work 22 sts in pattern, work 1st buttonhole as follows:

    Buttonhole

    Bring yarn to the front of the work, slip 1 st from left to right needle, pass yarn to back of work and drop it

    there. *slip another st. from left to right needle, and pass 1st st. over it* Repeat. You will have bound off 2

    sts. Slip the last bound off st back to left needle. Turn work. Pick up hanging yarn and pass between nee-

    dles to back. Cast on 3 sts via cable cast on method. (Cable cast on*Insert right needle between 1st and

    2nd sts on left needle, wrap and pull through a loop, place on left needle* repeat 2 more times. You will have

    cast on 3 sts.) Bring yarn to the front, turn, slip 1st st from left needle to right. Pass the last extra cast on st

    over it. You have bound off 2 sts.

    *Work 17 sts and make another buttonhole.* Repeat until youve made 6 buttonholes. Each buttonhole

    should be 55 1/2 apart. Bind off. Sew buttons opposite holes.

    Block.
