Under the PIDA multi-year programme there is the opportunity to develop and enhance the transport to link together the railway systems of different Africa's Regions. “Africa’s geography and its fragmented markets make regional integration a development imperative; and a key prerequisite for trade and increased competitiveness.”(ref. “Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA): Annual Report 2007”)Transportation infrastructure, and railways, is among the main bottlenecks to productivity growth and competitiveness on the African continent. The railway coverage of Africa is among the lowest in the world at about mean density of 2.9 km per 1,000 square km.

Customer SegmentsUnder this strategic framework for regional and continental infrastructure we chose the idea for the start-up to be close to the Regional Governments (Nations level) due the possibilities to replicate the same successful business model. In this way we assume that the development of the Continental railway system for Africa must be approached from a Regional and Local Government perspective .
