Mitron Marinteknik Mitron Marinteknik was founded in1983 and has sinceworked to develop simple and practical - artful boataccessories - in many cases lacking in the marketplace. A quest is to get the "gadgets" reliable and that theyactually work in practice. Our first product was a log book, designed for adven-tures, reflecting that the journey is between places andrarely on the compass course. Other products, like ourflexible and fully spray-proof cable-thru-deck system, ourbrilliant Universal Holder (which certainly keeps bothcompasses and pencils), gossip about a "free thinking". Another example of an LED light for special purposes is the"open" module for self-assembly. The circuit board iswater resistant and the LEDscan be bent to desiredposition. The LED's can beshort circuited or connectedto the plus cable withoutdamage.

We have supplied LED strips that arewaterproof moulded for concealed

mounting under a shelf or similar. Thelight image is easily adjustable byrotating the strip after the installation.

To illuminate the navigation site orchart table, we have a kitcontaining the two color SureLite2-in-1, a power switch andconnection "dots". Use white

Handyis a processor controlled switch modecharger developed by Swedishprofessionals to give efficient, problemfree battery charging. The leading edgetechnology used in the charger ensuresoptimal battery life

GeneralWhen the charger is connected to the

mains the light function is activated and, aslong as the light is on, there is no voltage atthe battery connectors. This means that batteriescan be connected or disconnected without the risk ofcausing sparks.

Provided that there is suitable supervision, the chargercan be connected to a battery for long periods, such asduring the winter when the battery is not in use, ensuringthat the battery is kept fully charged.

If a battery is incorrectly connected (wrong polarity) or ifthe charger is turned on without a battery being connected,then the automatic safety function is activated and a redwarning lamp is shown on the display.The charger can be used for all normal lead-acid and gel batteries. For smaller batteriessuch as those for motorbikes, lawnmowers, snow scooters etc. there is aspecial, limited current, charging mode.

It is good practice to always wind thecables around the charger and holdthem in place with the rubber strap.Apart from this function, the rubber strap can also be usedto fix the charger in a suitable position for ease of use.

Care of the chargerThe charger casing can be cleaned using a damp cloth witha few drops of dish washing fluid. The charger must bedisconnected from mains power during cleaning.The battery connectors should be greased with Vaseline.Further maintenance is not necessary.

SureConnect2 has the versatility of acting as both a terminal and a connector.It is capable of handling 10 ampere on each contact and has a cable area of 2,5sqmm. Although it is manufactured as a 12-pole unit, it may also be cut intosmaller sections. The contact elements are made of nickel-plated brass and areequipped with stainless steel screws. Power battery terminalTo make your on-board wiring work well, you have to hunt downevery possible voltage drop. SureConnect 4 takes care of the batteryconnection. By use of a cable with crimped cableshoes it is possible toget a gas-tight connection with almost no voltage drop. All the cable strandswill be connected resulting in a very low resistance and a very low power loss.It is easy to make a jumper to the second battery, to connect a VHF ortelephone equipment. This heavy duty terminal is designed to carry high current with almost novoltage drop, which helps to give clean, straight circuitry for the batterybank and heavy engine cables. Thru deck inlet

When two or more cables of different types have to pass watertightthrough the hull, SureThru through-deck fitting does it fast and easy. Thepoint of SureThru is to let both cables and their connectors pass throughthe hull and make the connection below deck nice and dry. It is evenpossible to connect an antenna directly to a radio set without connectionjoints.

Use the 1 1/2" Nylon bulkhead (6) inlet if the hull ismade of steel or aluminum to avoid corrosion.Locate a suitable place to mount the inlet. A brassinlet (1) has two tabs on the inside that may be inthe way. If so, cut or modify the lnlet.The next step is to mount the cables in the tube part(2). You may need to demount and mount the cableconnectors. Put the cables into the braided sleevinghose (4). Then put the cables into the SureThru tube(2) and use a piece of tape to hold the tube at thedesired position during sealing. Add the compoundfrom the flange side. Check for cavities. Let thebraided sleeving hose slightly into the compound. Bend the cables and mount the cap. Becareful not to move the tube out of position. Let it cure overnight.Mount the O-ring if necessary. Do not fill the cap (3) with compound. Later on, you may wishto add more cables and the cap should be free to unscrew. Use i.e. a screwdriver to makeroom for the additional cables and add some compound to keep it tight.

SureLite2-in-1 two-color lamp

This LED lamp takes advantage of the diode characteristic. By shifting the connection, two sets ofLED’s are turned on. This combines white light at harbor and red night vision light at sea. To make itwork, you can use two separate switches or a single 1-0-1 type. A special water tight 3-position switchcan be obtained from Mitron for a smooth and descrete installation. SureStripLite isconnected using asplice piece.

SureStripLite enables lighting in all environments, both indoors andoutdoors. The strip is buildable and can therefore be combined to form adesired length without special tools. Installation may be straight or in slightbends, for example, on a railing, a bridge edge, a bar counter etc. The stripis is low power - 0.75 watts per meter. Available in different designs with orwithout switch, and the housing colors are white or gray.

We provide complete sets, such as night lighting for your house andsurroundings. Contains everything needed to illuminate the pathand stairways, courtyards, etc. every night throughout the year ata cost of around 1 euro.

PATH LIGHT

Anti-glare for the SureLiteSureLite LEDs light can be used in many applications,for example on bridges, paths, stairs, but also in ponds, pools,jacuzzis etc. By using SureCover with SureLite (warm white?), the result is a non-glare light.

SureCover

SureCover allows multiple mounting options. 1-4 pcs SureLite can beinstalled depending on the desired light direction. Sure Cover availablein solid copper and anodized (silver) aluminum. The SureCover issuitable for mounting on a pole of wood (eg, 28x28 mm) or a metalpipe (eg 22/25 mm dia). The pole height can vary from 0.3 to 1 mdepending of the environment and the desired illumination. If twoSureLite are used and the pole is 1 m high, a path about 3 m in bothdirection will be illuminated.The cover is held by spring arms. By means of a thin screwdriver thesesprings can be released.An angle plate is included to allow easy mounting on metal tubes.

SureLite can be mounted in several ways. The annual operating costusing two SureLite is about 0.2 euros.

If you have SureLite on board and want them to light during the night but not in daytime, you need thisdaylight sensor. With light on board it looks both cozy and inhabitated.

If you need more power, you can add the SureSwitch2 current relay to switch up to 10A

Drill a hole of Ø46 mm. Minimum22 mm must be availablebehind the panel. If not, use thesurface mount adapter.

To connect thecables, remove theknob so that theterminal screws arevisible.

The cable area should be 0.5 to 2.5 mm2 dependingon the load.

Make sure that the power is switched off during installation and that thetotal load power is not exceeded.

Pay attention to the polarity.An installation using the dimmer may be protected with a 6A fuse.

A yachts rig works best when the mast is set up correctly and the shrouds are precisely tensionedto support it. A poorly-supported mast can dramatically affect the yachts performance

Sure Check is an important part of the sailing equipment, which allows perfect setting of the wire tension. The settingshould be checked regularly, especially after severe weather in which the rig suffered great stress.

Simple to useFastened to the stay or shrouds it can be read from a distance. An approximate value in kg, based on the

instrument scale, can be estimated from the User Guide graph. The difference between actual load andthe load calculated from the instrument is dependent of the wire condition but also on the fact thatthe measurement method is indirect. For periodic measurements on the same rig, the instruments are,however (in scale units) very accurate.
