Find the key IsDomainMaster .

Set its value to Falsem.

Type netsh in command console then press Enter.

Type winsock and Press Enter and then type reset.

will open Group policy editor.

and click OK (as shown in the image below)

2. Scan Your Pen Drive:

Whenever you insert your pen drive / portable drive into USB port on your system

make sure to run a virus scan with your anti virus before opening your pen drive

contents in windows explorer.

3. Use FreeCommander:

FreeCommander is again a file explorer like windows explorer, so you just need to

download it by clicking HERE and install it. After installing open your pen drive

4. Make Use of Software Restriction Policy:

Usesoftware restriction policy in group policy. This one can only be used in WINXP

Pro and Vista Permium and the higher. You can restrict the access of all the

programs or executable files in USB pendrive through this policy.

When you want to access the executable files you are sure of no harm, you can

turn off the restriction. This is a wonderful way to protect your pen drive from

viruses.

5. Another Way:

Just insert your pen drive in the USB port, now a autorun window(usually it includes

Open to view Files and Take no action options) will open to choose the program

that will run your pen drive but just ignore it by clicking the Cancel button right

after the OK button.

Now go to Start > Run and type cmd to open the Command Prompt window. Now

go to My Computer and Check the Drive letter of your USB drive or Pen Drive.(If it

is written Kingston(I:), then I: will be the drive letter)

Now you will get a list of files that are in your pen drive. In the list, search if

Bha.vbs

Iexplore.vbs

Info.exe

New_Folder.exe

Ravmon.exe

RVHost.exe or any other files with .exe Extension.

If you find any one of the file names as above, Run the command attrib-h -r -s -a

*.* and Hit Enter. Now Delete each File using the following Command del filename.

To disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My

If your Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 consistently freeze or crash when

copy files to USB hard disk or USB flash drive, download and apply the latest

Microsoft Hotfix filed under article ID 976972 might be the solution. However, this

KB976972 hotfix only applicable to computer that uses:

Running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. Has an NVIDIA USB Enhanced Host Controller Interface (EHCI) chipset.

Has at least 4GB of RAM.An error may occur when user tries to copy data from the computer to an external

USB storage device. When copying data or files and folders from PC to an USB

storage devices such as USB flash drive, portable hard disk drive, or any USB

devices, the copy operating may stop without completing or before done copying,

or worse, the computer may stop responding. The issue may occur if there is any

input/output (I/O) operations on the USB storage device, where the I/O operations

fail.

Microsoft has identified that problem in KB976972, and has released hotfix to

resolve the issue, which can be downloaded for free from Microsoft Download

How To Solve Windows 7 Laptop Battery Charging Problem?

A quick check of many laptops will show that batteries usually have a warranty of12 months, which is about the length of time when statistically we expect to see

noticeable degradation. Those of us that have owned the same laptop for a couple

of years and taken it through regular charge cycles have no doubt felt the decline in

battery life.

Windows 7 makes use of a feature of modern laptop batteries which have circuitry

and firmware that can report to Windows the overall health of the battery. This is

reported in absolute terms as Watt-hours (W-hr) power capacity. Windows 7 then

does a simple calculation to determine a percentage of degradation from the

original design capacity.

In Windows 7 we set a threshold of 60% degradation (that is the battery is

performing at 40% of its designed capacity) and in reading this Windows 7 reports

the status to you. At this point, for example, a battery that originally delivered 5

hours of charge now delivers, on average, approximately 2 hours of charge. In

Windows 7 the notification is a battery meter icon and notification is with a

message of Consider replacing your battery. This notification is new to Windows 7and not available in Windows Vista or Windows XP.

battery. There is a problem with your battery, so your computer might shut down

The most common complaint seems to be that battery life which used to last

press ctrl+shift+enter, click continue) Execute powercfg -setdcvalueindex SCHEME_CURRENT SUB_BATTERY

battery: Do nothing despite the option being unavailable in the drop box.

Note that your battery drainage will still occur, but the messages will not appear.

Next Solution:Calibrate the Battery

Follow these steps:

Fully Charged Up the Laptop Battery to 100 % , then unplugged power cable,and I let the battery drain. Upon reaching 99 % drainage you will start to get

the message consider replacing. When the battery is fully drained, laptop goes into hibernate. Power it back

on but then it shutdowns completely. Checked Bios to confirm if there was any power was left; it had 2 % left. Wait 15 minutes to completely drain the laptop of any battery power and

confirm that it can not be powered on. Remove the battery; then in this condition while the battery is out press the

power button this will drain the system of any power left in the laptop. At this stage the laptop should be fully drained now.

Plug in the A/C adapter cable to the laptop and wait 5 minutes. Power up thelaptop.

Under this process while charging the laptop you should not get the errormessage.This process should allow you to restore your battery to its optimum level.

Go to the Control Panel >> Region and Language Settings

On Region and Language wizard select Keyboards and Languages tab.

To change your keyboard or input language to Nepali, click Change Keyboards, you

should see the Text Services and Input Languages screen.

Click Add to install Nepali Language in Windows 7. (check on the Default input

language drop down menu if it has been already enabled)

Now, on Add Input Language box select Nepali (Nepal) >> Keyboard Nepali, and

Ink Correction (optional leave it unchecked if you dont want it) and click OK.

Now you shall be taken to Text Services and Input Languages screen again where

you should apply the settings. Click OK and you are ready with Nepali (Nepal)Keyboard in Windows 7.

To get started with Nepali Keyboard, select the NE (Nepali Nepal) from the

Language bar near the hidden icons or Action Centers at right corner of the

Taskbar.

You can select the language whenever you want, eg writing emails in Nepali, orupdating your Facebook profile in Nepali or even searching Google in Nepali

language. But you might not get a search result if you enter in Search Help

box of Windows Help and Support center. So, I strongly recommend you to learn to

use Nepali Unicode keystrokes before you make Nepali as the default input

language in Windows 7.

an Alert window will appear. Click on the OK button.

5. Now, Click on Apply Button of this Language Tab thereafter, you will be asked for

Win XP CD. Then insert XP cd in your CD ROM. It will take certain time in copying

some scripts from XP cd to your computer.

6. After installing the complex script you'll be asked to restart the computer.

Click on YES button to restart the computer.

Installation of Nepali Unicode in your computer

Two different keyboard layout of Unicode are available to you.

A. Traditional Layout

If you feel comfortable with True Type Font (TTF) for example Preeti, Kantipur etc

for typing then it will be easier for you to use Traditional Unicode Keyboard Layout

that resembles with TTF except in some ??????.

To install the Traditional Keyboard Layout of Unicode, please follow the following

instruction.

i. Go to the Unicode folder.

ii. Go to the Nepali Traditional folder.

iii. Double click on Setup file.

B. Romanized Layout

If you are not familiar with any nepali typing, then it might be easier to use

Romanized keyboard layout. To install the Romanized Keyboard Layout, please

follow the given below instruction.

i. Go to the Unicode folder

ii. Go to the Nepali Romanized Key folder

iii. Double click on Setup file.

C. You can install both of the keyboard layout drivers in a computer.

To make the setting of Unicode please follow the following instruction.

1 .After the completion of installation, please follow the instruction of step one

through three as given in the above prerequisite steps.

2. Click on the Language Tab.

3. Click on the Details at the middle-right hand side of this window.

4. You will find a new window with heading of Text Service and Input Language

5. By default Setting Tab will open. You will find Add, Remove button at the right

middle of this new window.

6. Click on Add button.

7. A new window will appear. Add Input Language as header.

8. Click on Input Language Combo box and select Sanskrit as Input Language and

NepaliRomanized or Nepalitraditional as Keyboard layout.

9. Click on OK. If you need both of the layout add both of them by following the

earlier procedure.

10. Click on Apply and OK Button.

You can see a language bar at your desk either at the right bottom side of the

Window or Top-Right of the Window.

To interchange the Languages (Nepali and English), Please press Alt+Shift key and

start to type.

System Requirement

To run the Nepali Unicode Program, there must be following system requirements:

Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000, Windows XP or above.

Office Application: Office XP or above

Downloaded copy of Unicode or Unicode Installation CD.

Note: Windows 98 or below does not support Unicode and only Windows 2000 or

higher operating system(OS) supports Unicode. So, Nepali Unicode softwares run

only in Windows 2000 or higher OS.

As part of their routine, many worms and Trojans make changes to the registry.

Some of them change one or more of the shell\open\command keys. If these keys

are changed, the worm or Trojan will run each time that you run certain files.

For example, if the \exefile\shell\open\command key is changed, the threat will run

each time that you run any .exe file. This may also stop you from running the

Registry Editor to try to fix this.

They may also change a registry value so that you cannot run the Registry Editor at

all.

The most common type of viruses we encounter daily is sscvihost.exe andautorun.ini. I am going to explain how to remove these viruses if anti-viruses are

not doing so.

sscvihost.exe may have many names, the popular are W32/Sohana-AO(Sophos)

and W32.Imaut.AY (Symantec/Norton). Basically this is a type of worm virus that

spreads via USB thumb drives and/or Yahoo! Messenger. A worm virus, technically,

doesnt destroy your files, it just add tons of of useless files in order to fill up your

hard drive or slowdown your system resources. We dont like that do we?

Symptoms:

CLTR+ALT+DEL is not working Folder Options is missing from your TOOLS menu Registry Editor (RegEdit) is not working Your system is slowing down gradually There seems to be a lot of hard drive activity even if you are doing nothing You have a New Folder.exe in every folder and in each sub folder

Follow these steps:

Download the file UnHookExec.inf and save it to your Windows desktop. (Link is

given at last of the post)

(If you cannot connect to the Internet from the infected computer, download to an

uninfected computer then save it to a floppy disk. Then take the floppy disk and

insert it in the floppy disk drive of the infected computer.)

Note: The tool has a .inf file extension.

Right-click the UnHookExec.inf file and click install. (This is a small file. It does not

display any notice or boxes when you run it.)

Removing the virus:

FIRST: You have to stop the virus from running in the first place. If your system is

already infected, it is already running in the background. You must restart your

computer then run it in safe mode.

Restart your PC Press F8 as soon after the BIOS boots. If you dont know what that is, just

keep pressing F8 until a menu appears. Select Safe Mode from the menu On your desktop, right click on the file UnHookExec.inf then select install.

You wont see any prompt or confirmation so dont worry about it. By now, CTRL+ALT+DEL is already working so open up your Task Manager.

End task the following programs/processes:

SSCVIHOST.exe

blastclnnn.exe

New Folder.exe

SECOND: Delete the virus files from your PC. There are two ways to do this, via

windows shell or command prompt (DOS) shell. Since Folder Options has been

disabled by the virus, you cannot switch to show hidden files and system files. Well

you can edit it in your Registry, but lets just do it the DOS-way. Follow this

carefully.

Select Run from your start menu, then type cmd. Press enter. The pathsdiffer depending on your operating system, but in this procedure letsassume you are using Windows XP

At the command prompt go to your system32 folder (this may differ if youare using NT/2000 or XP). For the sake of this procedure lets assume you areusing XP. Type cdwindowssystem32

On this path (c:windowssystem32>) type the following commands in order:1. attrib -h -r -s SSCVIHOST.exe2. del SSCVIHOST.exe3. attrib -h -r -s blastclnnn.exe4. del blastclnnn.exe5. attrib -h -r -s autorun.ini6. del autorun.ini7. attrib -h -r -s svchosl.exe8. del svchosl.exe9. cdwindows (this will move you to the windows prompt c:windows)10.attrib -h -r -s SSCVIHOST.exe11.del SSCVIHOST.exe

THIRD: Clean up the registry. Your RegEdit is already running because of the file

weve downloaded from Symantec. On your run box (from the Start menu) type

regedit. WARNING: Be careful on what you edit here, because a single mistake may

screw up your system. Just follow the paths that are mentioned here so you wont

get lost. Make sure you edit only what mentioned in this procedure.

Navigate to the following registry entries:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogon

Shell = Explorer.exe SSCVIHOST.exe

(edit and remove the word SSCVIHOST.exe leaving only Explorer.exe, if you screw

this up windows shell wont show on your next boot)

FOURTH: Clean again after cleaning. Restart your PC, again in Safe Mode

(remember to press F8). This time we will remove all other files that have been

created by the virus. Folder options in your Tools menu is already working so open

that up. Then select Show Hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide protected

operating system files. Then search your whole hard disk (using windows search

from the start menu) and SHIFT+DEL all these files. Also cleanup your recycle bin

after this.

SSCVIHOST.exe blastclnnn.exe New Folder.exe (these are the garbage files created by the worm it will

create thousands upon thousands of these in your hard drive)

FIFTH: Check your autoruns. On your run box at the start menu, type msconfig.

Look at the startup tab for any suspicious files that are related to the virus and

disable (you can also remove it in the registry) it.

Thats it. Reboot your system normally and check your Task Manager

(CLTR+ALT+DEL) if there are running processes that arent supposed to be

running.
