Title Turfgrass Assistant

Reports to Turfgrass Manager
Primary Responsibilities
• Spraying, fertilizing and mowing turfgrass fields • General irrigation setup and repair • Operating automated turf harvester • Using a forklift to load and unload pallets • Delivering sod to customers
Basic Qualifications • Ability to obtain class A CDL
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly • Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule (including some holidays
and weekends) • Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Turfgrass or Agriculture background • 3b applicators license a plus • Familiar with turf maintenance equipment and irrigation operation • Familiar with sprayer and spreader calibration and use
Other Information We are looking for individuals who are self-starters and who want to learn the
details of turfgrass production and management. You will be involved in every aspect of running a turfgrass business (e.g., selecting seed and fertilizers, spraying and mowing fields, operating and monitoring irrigation systems, cutting, loading and delivering product to customers).
Compensation Competitive hourly rate + eligible for year-end bonus, paid vacation and health insurance
