Your challenges.
New traffic routes, projected in advance to ensure time and
energy savings for later operation, are planned without steep
gradients and radii of curvature. It follows that the construction
and operation of tunnels for rail systems and for road transport
too thus go hand in hand. However, these structures pose a variety
of technical and functional challenges to operators and respective
interdependencies need to be taken into account in the planning
phase.
Across systems.
Our specialists also plan, assess or analyze cross-system issues
such as grounding and EMC, RAMS, microclimate, tunnel ventilation,
aerodynamics as well as emergency, rescue and fire safety concepts,
including fire safety concepts for the vehicles traveling through
the tunnels. Current guidelines, legislation as well as European
and in-ternational standards and specifications provide the basis
for our work in interdisciplinary teams.

enginee-ring. Due to large projects at home and abroad with a range
of different requirements and a wide variety of equipment along
with our collaboration with CENELEC bodies we have acquired
extensive knowledge of all relevant directives, such as TSI
guidelines, or the Common Safety Method (CSM). This expertise forms
the basis of our work which is carried out by interdisciplinary
