We know that several students have been picking up rubbish in our community in their own time on weekends to support environmental principles. This group has invited our Green Team to partner with them to help name each of the trees and create awareness. The recommendation is for parents to talk with their children about what they are doing online. Thank you to Miss Ryan and the Digital Technology Team who organised this session for parents.

END OF TERM 1 ASSEMBLY MONDAY 1ST OF APRIL AT 9AM

Due to having such a large school now and the time it takes to have students enter and exit the stadium, we will hold our End of Term

assemblies on the last Monday of each term. At the last assembly we will celebrate the achievements of the term and the Student of the Term. The last day of term is Friday 5th of April and students

will be dismissed from their Learning Communities at 2.30pm.

Have a great week.

about how to construct a persuasive writing piece as

On Wednesday the 13th of March, Bailee, Prince, Alex and Melad represented Tulliallan Primary School at

Division Swimming. It was an excellent day and the boys definitely did our school proud; coming home

with a second ribbon and five thirds! Well done boys, you cheered and supported each other on and swam

so well, we are very proud of you!

Special thanks to Bailee’s mum Kathryn for all your help with the swimming, it is very much appreciated.

Don’t forget this Friday the 22nd of March is House Cross Country with Years 3 to 6 competing approximately

between 9:25am and 11:00am and Prep to Year 2 between approximately 11:35am and 1:00pm. Remember

to wear your house colours to school on this day to support your house and you can wear other runners other

than your black school runners! We are looking forward to a fun, competitive and colourful day!

Wetland Walk and Clean Up On Friday the 15th of March, 39 students from the Green Team walked to

the local wetlands to participate in a community clean up. Students

learnt about the responsible disposal of rubbish and the impact of

rubbish dumped irresponsibly, on animals and the local environment.

While it was shocking to see the amount of waste in our local area, it

was wonderful to see students making a difference to the community

and to hear about many of them continuing their efforts after school

and on the weekend.

We are lucky to have such keen environmental ambassadors at our

school.

INTERSCHOOL SPORT REPORT

ROUND 1 versus ST FRANCIS DE SALES

On March 15th, the boys’ cricket team had an amazing win 89-81 against St

Francis de Sales in Lynbrook. It was a very close match but the boys kept

their heads up and came out with the win. Everyone played well, with Yash

being our most valuable player for playing fairly and showing great

sportsmanship. The girls’ cricket team also had a win against St Francis. We

all had so much fun! We played with sportsmanship because we helped the

other team to understand the rules of the game. We won but we were

respectful winners.

We also played boys and girls soccer. The boys team won with an

impressive 8 goals to 1. The most valuable players were Faraz and Noah

because they both scored hat-tricks! The girls were also successful, winning

5-0. The most valuable players were Mia, Nesime and Ameneh because they

kicked some goals.

For the girls netball team, we did extremely well winning with 27 points to 2

points. Natalie did an amazing job scoring lots of goals. All the netballers

did their best and showed great sportsmanship. The mixed netball team also

won, scoring 20 to 2, with everyone playing to the best of their abilities.

Emily and Alyssa filled in for the other school as they didn’t have enough

players.

In T-ball, Team A and B played exceptionally well and won both games.

Team A scored 11 runs and won by one run, and Team B scored 14 to 12

winning by 2. The most valuable players were Riley and Elisha from Team A,

and Akash, Ishudeep and Alex from Team B.

Our Volleystars teams did really well with the help of Ms Dawson’s excellent

coaching. We won both matches. The star player of Team A was Thrisha

because of her amazing setting and sportsmanship. In Team B, Lexis

displayed amazing skills.
