    Mary Burkes Profile:

    Mary Burke has blended her hunter-jumper talent and advanced dressageexperience into a highly successful career in teaching, training and competinwith in the equestrian sports of Eventing and Dressage over the last 40 years

    As a young rider, she competed in the A rated hunter jumper circuit winninmultiple championships in the Junior Jumper, Equitation and Small WorkingHunter Divisions. In addition, Mary is the only junior rider to win the

    Washington State Green Working Hunter Futurity Championship at the age o17, a division normally dominated by the professional trainers.

    Following Marys hunter-jumper career, she traveled to the East Coast andtrained under dressage instructor Linda(USDF O rated dressage judge) andElizabeth Madliner for two years.During that time, she qualified multiplehorses for the USDF Championships infirst through forth level and obtainedher USDF Bronze medal.After returning to the Pacific northwest, Mary combined her riding talents

    and started ridding under two-timeOlympian Amy Tryon and competed inthree day eventing. She has gone on tocompete nationally and won theAmerican Event Championships in theOpen Preliminary division held atLamplighter Equestrian facility inChicago.

    Mary Burkes successful riding background, degree in Physical Therapy furthenhance her teaching ability. Due to her expanded knowledge base in dressaghunters, eventing, human anatomy, body mechanics, and her extraordinaryability to explain the Art of Riding, she can assist riders of all levels and Engdisaplins.
