Due to set-up for the Christmas Bazaar, Miss Kelly Ann & Miss Barb’s senior classes will be dismissed at 11:30 on Friday, November 2nd. If you have a child enrolled in Little Angels, we will only have “before” care on that day. NO AFTER CARE.

St. John’s Christmas Bazaar is scheduled for 3 days! There will be raffles, silent auctions, handmade Christmas craft items, homemade candies & baked goods, garden room, electric train display, Secret Santa’s Shop and much, much more! Raffle and silent auction items are in the church atrium through the weekend of 10/29. On Saturday, the children are welcome to visit with Santa! Friday, Nov. 2nd (6:00pm – 8:00pm) Saturday, Nov. 3rd (8:00am – 4:00pm) Sunday, Nov. 4th (8:00am – 1:00pm)

THANKSGIVING CORNUCOPIA FEAST On Monday, November 19th, “all” of our Junior & Senior preschool children will celebrate Thanksgiving together. Miss Cathy’s T/TH students are welcome to

come from 11:00-11:30 for the Thanksgiving Feast. When you arrive, please come up to the school office and we will take you and your child down to the social hall. Junior T/TH parents, please fill out the attached form & return to the school office by 11/16.

St. John’s will offer a Scholastic Book Fair which will be available during the Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec.

1st and also during the week of Dec. 3rd – Dec. 7th. On the school days, it will be open first thing every morning. The books make wonderful Christmas gifts. Your purchases go towards new books for our library and classrooms. St. John’s Home and School Association will host Breakfast with

Santa the morning of Saturday, December 1st. This event will offer crafts, face painting, a gift shop and of course, breakfast and Santa! More information about ticket sales to come. Don’t miss this holiday event!

SCHOOL CLOSINGS It won’t be much longer before the snow starts to fall, so please

post the following information about our school closings.

In the event of inclement weather, it is

important to know what procedures we follow. We follow the SOUTHERN YORK COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT for delays and cancellations. Under the York County heading, WGAL News 8 and FOX 43 will specifically list St. John the Baptist Catholic School. If the school district has a two hour delay, please continue to watch because sometimes they may decide to close at the last minute.

You will be notified through the following: TV – WGAL News 8 & FOX 43 ONE CALL NOW – phone/email notification system PRESCHOOL VOICE MAIL – any delays or cancellations will also be posted on our voice mail (717) 235-3525 – extension 230 by approximately 7:00 a.m. PLEASE NOTE: If Southern York County School District is closed, WE ARE CLOSED. If the school district has a two hour delay, preschool will follow a two hour delay with a modified dismissal. Modified schedule times are as follows; please bring a packed lunch for your child on the two hour delay days: Ms. Cathy’s Junior M/W/F & T/TH classes (9-11:30) – class will begin @ 11:00 a.m. & dismiss @ 1:00 p.m. Ms. Kelly Ann’s Senior class (9-1) – class will begin @ 11:00 a.m. & dismiss @ 2:00 p.m. Ms. Barb’s Senior class (9-1) – class will begin @ 11:00 a.m. & dismiss @ 2:00 p.m. Ms. Kim Marchant’s Time for Two’s class (9-11) – class will begin @ 11:00 a.m. and dismiss @ 1:00 p.m.
