In the medical dicitionary, r eflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort. In the absence of any particular malady or abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of stress , injury, and illness. Reflexology is based on the principle that certain parts of the body reflect the whole. Reflex points, which relate to all parts of the body, can be found in the feet, hands, face and ears. These points respond to pressure, stimulating the body's own natural healing process. The body starts progressively clearing blockages, re-establishing energy flows and balancing itself, resulting in better health. Reflexology

Reflexology is one of the most used alternative medicine in Indonesia, therefore we will easily meet reflexology practice everywhere. Before trying reflexology, let us know about reflexology and its benefits.

What is reflexology? According to what I know about reflexology, it is a massage on the pressure points to relieve pain in certain

areas. In the medical dicitionary, reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined

pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort.  In the absence of any particular malady or abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of  stress,  injury, and illness.

There are many different styles and approaches used in reflexology, however the basic principle is constant. Subtle yet powerful, reflexology is becoming increasingly popular in the world of complementary therapies (http://www.reflexology.org.au/reflexology/definition)

What is beneficial effect of reflexology ?In my opinion, the reasons reflexology is one of the most used alternative medicine in Indonesia because it is

safe, cost-effective, and has a beneficial effect for a variety of health concerns. Reflexology can address your particular needs. Painful, congested or overactive states within the body can be

balanced and normalised. Thousands of documented case studies from around the world have demonstrated the benefits for: reduce pain, exhance relaxation, arthritis, insomnia, anxiety, hormonal imbalances, asthma, digestive disorders, cancer treatment, sports injuries, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, tension headaches, kidney function, PMS, sinusitis, back paince, and overall stress relief. It also works well as a complement to other modalities and treatments. (https://www.mja.com.au and Ernst, Posadzki, & Lee, 2010)

Do you want to try reflexology ?Of course my answer is “Yes, I do”. I was often doing reflexology for reduce pain, enhance relaxation, and

overall stress relief. And for your information, it worked. So, this is highly recommended for those of you who have health concerns.

But If you're pregnant, talk with your doctor first and let the reflexologist know. Be sure to give the reflexologist a complete and accurate health history. If you have foot ulcers, injury, or blood vessel disease such as blood clots, consult your doctor before having reflexology

And the last, be careful who you go to as anyone theoretically can call themselves a reflexologist, so make sure you ask where your therapist has trained..
