Sepoy Mustaq's kinVIJAYWADA, Feb 15:

The Andhra PradeshGovernment today decided topay Rs 25 lakh as ex-gratia tothe family of Sepoy MustaqAhmed who was killed in therecent Siachen Avalanche.

The decision was taken atthe Cabinet meeting here,chaired by Chief Minister NChandrababu Naidu.

A member of Ahmed's familywill also be given a Governmentjob, a communication from theChief Minister's Office said.

The Cabinet also paid hom-age to Ahmed during the meet-ing, it said.

Ahmed, who hails fromKurnool district of AndhraPradesh, was one of the 10Army personnel killed in theSiachen Avalanche earlier thismonth.

His body was taken toNandyal in Kurnool district thisevening and would be buried inhis native Parnapalli villagewith police honors tomorrow.(PTI)
