Group dialogue will focus on extending the Code of Ethics Principles to practice and decision-making. A variety of learning methods will be used including mini quiz, discussion and mini-case-studies or “vignettes” based on real situations provided by planners across the country. “Marketing Trends In The Financial Industry” Len Blackstone is a strategic marketing consultant, professional speaker and president of Black- stone, Inc. He has over 20 years of marketing experience in brand strategy, positioning, marketing planning, integrated marketing communications, advertising, sales promotion, and market research. His counsel is often sought after by a wide variety of corporate, non-profit and government organiza- tions -- from senior executives of multi-billion dollar companies to small entrepreneurial start-ups. NEW REQUIREMENT FOR CFP BOARD

REGISTERED CE SPONSORS: Effective January 1, 2006, the CFP Board will require all CE Sponsors to report attendee lists electronically. That means that for those of you that come to our chapter meetings and want CEs, this will be a much easier process for you. Here is what we will need from you in order to make this work: • Social Security Number OR CFP Registrant ID • Last name, first name, middle initial That’s it! We’ll keep your information in a database so that you only need give it to us once. No CE Certificates will need to be issued any longer. You will now go online to check the status of your CE hours. Within 2 business days of each meeting, your CE hours will be posted. Please visit: www.cfp.net for more information.

Important Notice for CFPs needing CEs!!!

Now that we must submit all CFP CEs electronically, all you need to do is go to the CFP website to add the courses you need for your CE requirement to your ac-count. However, people have been entering our chap-ter's name in different ways and you won't find any classes unless you enter it the way the CFP Board has us listed. Please follow these steps: 1) Go to www.cfp.net 2) Login 3) Select "My CFP Certification" tab 4) Select "View/Reports CE" 5) Select “Report CE” 6) Go to “Sponsor Search” - enter FPA 7) Select “FPA—Mid-Oregon 8) Then select the course. This will post it to the CFP’s class summary. 9) Repeat this exercise for other courses taken by this association.
