Dear Parents and Carers,

The Friends Parent Teacher Association – Recruitment

As you are all aware our Parent Teacher Association, The Friends of John Ball, is an integral part of our school community. For many years they have both raised a significant amount of money for the school as well as organising great community events which provide us all with the opportunity to come together in many different ways.

As with most Parent Teacher Associations, a small number of parents make the whole thing work seamlessly and this year we will see many of the current members leave us as their children leave Year 6.

To this end I would encourage Parents and Carers who don’t have a current involvement in The Friends to seriously consider getting involved if you can.

Event such as the two Fairs each year, numerous film nights, discos, special social nights and World food night are all highlights of the year and we want them to continue as well as develop new ideas.

The school has some great ideas for projects going forwards that the Friends are keen to support but we need a team to work together to ensure that events can take place in order for these to become a reality.

If you are interested in getting involved please contact the Friends via the communication details shared in JBuzz, let me know and I will happily put you in touch or attend the next meeting and get involved!

The next meeting of the Friends is in the main school building on Thursday 16 June at 9.15am.
