My tasks included: linux networking, writing libraries in Python, debugging robots, writing documentation, and solving multidisciplinary problems. I also researched, programmed, tested, and presented a radar sensor for detecting human presence iRobot Mechanical Engineering Internship May - August 2015 Developed a test fixture involving: machining, CAD modeling, manufacturing wires, developing circuit boards, programming, and Python data manipulation. Brought the standard deviation of testing variables below 0.5% PROJECTS: Major Qualifying Project - Sailbot 2016/2017 August 2016 - Present A fully autonomous sailboat to compete in the International Robotic Sailing Regatta. The robot will be able to navigate without human intervention using GPS, IMU, Camera, and other on board sensors. The robot will feature a fully custom controls system using real time multi-threaded processes written in C++ Campus Navigation App - CS 3733 December 2015 Our group used Java and JavaFX to build a GPS style navigation app to display directions from any room on campus to any other. Features included: easy-to-use interface, robust A-Star search algorithm, smooth graphics, and turn-by-turn directions (voted best app overall among 10 class projects) Autonomous Nuclear Reactor Robot - RBE 2001 October 2014 A custom built robot to operate a mock nuclear reactor which featured lazer-cut and 3d printed parts, a fully analyzed four bar, linear slide, 12+ sensors, custom wiring, Arduino Mega, Bluetooth communication, and multi-layer state machine based code FIRST Robotics Competition 190 - 2014 Robot January - March 2014 Lead programmer for Team 190’s 2014 FRC robot which featured: fully custom welded aluminum chassis, 10+ sensors, PID control, semi-automated Java command based programming.
