Continuing safety rep development (CSRD) – an introduction
CSRD involves safety reps in maintaining, improving and widening your knowledge, skills and experience. This development process continues throughout the period that you are a safety rep.
Example of CSRD during a TUC course...
• During any TUC health and safety course you will be encouraged to assess and then develop your own knowledge, skills and experience as an integral part of the course
• Take Stage 1 as an example…..

What does CSRD involve?
Active process with development plan to:
• consider your development needs
• identify how to meet those needs
• put plans into practice
• review whether development succesful
• amend if necessary
How often?
The TUC recommends that development plans are done on a yearly cycle and adjusted when necessary to meet changing circumstances
