The working area on the right lets you browse through various pages within a view. For example, in the following

For a view, some pages might not be visible to all users depending on the access rights.

2 Editing a viewAdministration tab - Edit menu
Click to edit the required view. It provides access to useful functions such as changing the name, description,
owner user, define access and edit modes, assign parent view groups, and access groups.

3 Adding applications or portletsApplications or portlets are the building blocks of a page. To add an application, navigate to a view in one of the
view groups available on the tab. Click on the top right corner and then click Views Enable Edit Mode > Add
to add applications. Using this menu you can also exit the edit mode, define layout templates, andapplication
manage pages, depending on user rights.
Edit menu options
The application window allows you to search for the application you want to add. Click to add theAdd
applications.
You can change the title of an application by clicking on the current title and typing a new name in the text area
(see figure below).
Changing the original name of a portlet
Portlets can be configured using seven different control icons; however, only the configurations can see all of
them. Icons that can only be seen by configurations are indicated with a :
Icon Command Description
Refresh Refresh the portlet
Look and Feel Change the appearance of the portlet (style, border, background, etc.), including advanced CSS styling options.
Configuration Set user permissions.

Preferences Set the attributes (preferences) of the portlet (for example, its title), and the read/write parameters that the portlet is sensitive
to; for further information, see .Managing portlets
Minimize Hide the content of the portlet.
Maximize Maximize the portlet to full page display.
Remove Delete the portlet.
Tip
The BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization Console tab allows you to build . Each view isViews views
made up of a set of configurable and interactive .pages
For example, you can create a new view containing all the analyses and reports related to a specific business
service, or that are useful for Database Administrators.
A view has the characteristic of being visible to a specified set of users; a view can also extensively represent a set
of users with same access rights. A user can typically access a set of views.
Tip
