TSA Transgender Support Group Meets Wednesdays at 7pm

The Tri-State Alliance has a new transgender support group that meets every Wednesday at 7pm at the TSA Offices, 501 John Street suite 5 in Evansville. This is a new support group for transgender and nonbinary people on the area. The group is closed and only open to trans/nonbinary people. We will meet weekly on Wednes-days and on the third meeting of the month we will open the meeting to family, friends and allies for questions and infor-mation. We are just kicking off and getting things started, but the meetings will feature discus-sion led by the members of the group. However, the meet-ings will be semi informal. Dear friends, I wish to extend an unqualified thank you for including me among Evansville’s health care heroes. Thank you for the din-ner. Thank you for the beautiful award. It is an honor and a privilege to live in a community where the ordinary is recog-nized as extraordinary. This recognition motivates all to do more which in turn makes Evansville a place one would want to live. One side not needs mentioning. Upon approaching my car after the dinner, my award slipped from my grasp, landed upon the pavement and shattered into many pieces. After a few exple-tives, my wonderful wife, as she does often, calms me down. Though still upset I began thinking. How ironic. The lives we

tend are often shattered and come to us with many pieces to put back to-gether. Once accomplished, there is no guarantee they won’t break again.
