Purpose of the Hearing was to hear any objections and hear any comments in objection to or in support of the proposed Special Assessment cost per lot for the residents of North Point Shores for the maintenance and improvements of North Point Shores Road. Adopt Agenda: It was moved by Treasurer Diamond, seconded by Trustee Dunckel to adopt the agenda as presented and add the following: Under New Business - Fire Service Conference, Signature Authorization (Burnham & Flower) and Closed Sess- ion. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Minutes: It was moved by Treasurer Diamond, seconded by Trustee Fournier to approve the minutes of meetings held on May 5th, 16th, 19th and 21st, 2014. Mo- tion carried by unanimous vote. Public Comment: None. Correspondence: It was moved by Trustee Mischley, seconded by Trustee Dunckel to receive and file the following: Michigan Liquor Control Commission - Meijer, Inc., Huron Humane Society - Minutes - May 20, 2014, Alpena County Road Commiss- ion - Road Report, Alpena County - Millage Reduction - L-4024 and PIE&G - Natr- ral Gas Update. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Public Hearing on Necessity (North Point Shores Drive S/A): The supervisor ex- plained the purpose of the hearing was for residents of the proposed S/A district to voice their opinions or comments for or against the proposed project and also about the cost per lot. Price per lot is $400.00 per year for 2-years. Lisa Brendle of 8476 North Point Shores Drive, spoke for the S/A project. She said the road needed gravel, ditching and grading. It's in terrible condition. A letter was received from Eleanor J. Tracy objecting to the $400.00 cost. She felt she did not want to spend $400.00 on the road. Edward Chzarnicki thanked the board for getting their project back on line, and making it possible for the S/A to go on the July 1, 2014, tax bills. With no other comments the hearing was closed. Resolution of Adoption: It was moved by Trustee Mischley, seconded by Trustee Dunckel to adopt the Resolution of Adoption for a S/A district for North Point Shores for a two year period of time at a cost of $38,000 per year. A special assessment roll will be made by the supervisor with her certificate attached and presented to the Township Board. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Resolution declared adopted by unanimous roll call vote. Yeas: Poli, Fournier, Twite, Mischley, Diamond, Dubey and Dunckel. Nays: None. A notice will be placedin the Alpena News stating the time and place of the hearing, as well as a no-tice being sent to each property owner. Resolution declared adopted by unani-mous roll call vote. Old Business: None.

Available Foreclosed Properties: The Alpena County Treasurer informed the boardof 11 foreclosed properties in Alpena Township relating to unpaid 2011 Taxes. TheState is granted the right of first refusal to purchase the properties. If theState elects not to purchase the properties, and any properties are not purchasedafter the first and second sale by the foreclosing government unit, the Countywill inform the township and the township can accept or reject the parcels priorto December 31st, 2014.

Appointment to EDC Board: It was moved by Trustee Mischley, seconded by TreasurerDiamond to appoint T J. Thusat as the secretary to the EDC Board. He will be re-placing Christine M. Dubey, who retires on June 1, 2014. Motion carried by un-animous vote.

Request to Write for Website (S. Dent): Susan Dent offered to write somethingfor Alpena Township on the Website. It was suggested that the supervisor contactMs. Dent and ask her for a sample of her writing on other websites.

Fire Department (Mini Tanker): R&R Fire Truck Repair, Inc. offered to sell the2007 Chevrolet 4x4 Rescue (R-2) for a commission of 7%. If sold the money wouldbe used to purchase two newer ambulances. It was moved by Trustee Dunckel, sec-onded by Trustee Mischley to table the item.

Internship Analysis (Andrew Thornton): The supervisor read Andrew Thornton'sAnalysis in its entirety.

DNR Grant ($2500.00): It was moved by Trustee Poli, seconded by Trustee Fournierto authorize the supervisor to write for a DNR Grart in the amount of $2500.00for wildfire fighting gear. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Yeas:Twite, Mischley, Diamond, Dubey, Dunckel, Poli and Fournier. Nays: None.

Burnham & Flower: It was moved by Treasurer Diamond, seconded by Trustee Mischleyto authorize T J. Thusat to sign the document for Burnham & Flower as well as anyother official documents that need to be signed by him as the newly appointed Town-ship Clerk. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Conference for Fire Service: It was moved by Trustee Poli, seconded by TreasurerDiamond to allow the supervisor to attend this conference in Petoskey, Michigan,on July 17th and 18th, 2014. Lodging, registration fee and mileage will be paidby the Township. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Yeas: Mischley,Diamond, Dubey, Dunckel, Poli, Fournier and Twite. Nays: None.

Close Session: It was moved by Clerk Dubey, seconded by Treasurer Diamond toclose the session for the purpose of discussing client and attorney communica-tions. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Diamond, Dubey, Dunckel,Poli, Fournier, Twite and Mischley. Nays: None.

Open Sessioji: It was moved by Clerk Dubey, seconded by Treasurer Diamond to openthe session. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Yeas: Dube,y, Dunckel,Poli, Fournier, Twite, Mischley and Diamond. Nays: None.

Name Road: It was moved by Trustee Fournier, seconded by Clerk Dubey to name theproposed road from Walter Street to Bagley Street Potter Hill Road. Motion car-ried by unanimous vote.

Bills: It was moved by Clerk Dubey, seconded by Treasurer Diamond to pay thebills. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Yeas: Dunckel, Poli, Fournier,Twite, Mischley, Diamond and Dubey. Nays: None.
