Over several rehearsals you will: ✓ Work alongside Estela Aragon, an accomplished and active professional trumpet player and sought after teaching artist. ✓ Enhance and develop your abilities within a small trumpet ensemble. ✓ Learn the tricks of playing in a chamber group. ✓ Play a variety of styles, including standards, classical and jazz. ✓ Wrap it up with a local performance. Requirements: ◆ Open to students rising to 9th-12th grade. ◆ Must audition in person at my location in Northeast Columbia. Auditions are at a pre-arranged time June 8th - June 13th. Acceptance emails are sent out shortly after your audition. Audition requirements: ◆ Region band major scales and chromatic scale. ◆ One solo or etude of you choice. Pick something that demonstrates your abilities! General info: ◆ Rehearsal location is at a reserved home in Cayce, SC. Parents are welcome to come and stay for all rehearsals. ◆ Rehearsals begin the week of June 15th and end July 31st, with a break on July 6th - 13th. The ensemble meets once a week for one hour. Exact day and time is TBA. ◆ The ﬁnal performance will be at a local church where students will experience performing in a live hall for a large audience. ◆ A short performance for friends and family is still TBA. ◆ Price: $150 (paid IN FULL at ﬁrst rehearsal) for 8 sessions to maximize your skills, plus a performance!
