Trumpet TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH VOLUME 34 • ISSUE 11 NOVEMBER 2010 Thankful for Today & Tomorrow I am thankful for so many things this Thanksgiving. My family, friends, health and most of all my relaonship with the Father are all incredible blessings. I am also very thankful God brought Kelly, Emma Grace and me here to serve at Trinity Bapst Church. In my heart, God is at work revealing the possibilies and potenal of our church. God has blessed TBC with many wonderful, loving and giſted members. He has also blessed us by pung us in a community where there are many people who need the Gospel. That need for the Gospel means we have the chance to see God work miracles on a daily basis as He changes lives. We are at a church God wants to use for His glory. As I think about 2011, the Lord has laid on my heart a few simple truths. First, we must love and know Him before we can begin to do anything that will really maer. As your pastor, my prayer is that we would daily grow closer to our Savior in a manner that transforms our lives. I am going to do my very best to preach messages, with all my heart, that will draw you into a deeper relaonship with Him. On your part, I ask that you make it a daily habit to sit at His feet and read the Word and pray. As families, it is important that there are mes of family devoon and worship separate from your me here at the church. I also know we must have biblical leadership, so every member needs to pray as we seek God’s will for both the youth and music pastors and for our staff as a whole. We have many giſted members with servant’s hearts. I believe God wants us to sharpen our giſts and hone our skills (1 Cor. 12). To this end, over the next year we will need to spend me developing training methods so we can constantly be equipping our leaders and members so that each person has the opportunity develop their giſts to their full potenal. I want every member of TBC to thrive spiritually. Aſter we equip, we have to provide the opportunity to use your giſts in a strategic manner that will have the greatest possible affect for the Kingdom of God. God desires us to follow the biblical model for the church, which means we need to act as a body (Rom. 12; 1 Cor. 12). I hope on January 9th to lay a compelling vision out for the year (2011) that will excite and challenge each of you to be a part of something greater than you could ever accomplish on your own. I believe you will see that if we act together, as a body, the way God intends, we are going to see something awesome unfold, though it may take me (years in fact). 2011 will be a year of preparaon and seeing the new things God is at work doing in the life of TBC. It will be a me for us to draw near to God and to let Him form us, so that He can use us to help shape the lives of others. My guess is that when Thanksgiving 2011 rolls around we will be amazed by what He has prepared us to do, if not what he has already done. I look forward to growing with you and I am thankful for your desire to serve and worship the Lord with me. Thankful, Eddie Coakley John 3:30

Thankful for Today & Tomorrow

I am thankful for so many things this Thanksgiving. My family, friends, health and most of all my relationship with the Father are all incredible blessings. I am also very thankful God brought

Kelly, Emma Grace and me here to serve at Trinity Baptist Church. In my heart, God is at work revealing the possibilities and potential of our church. God has blessed TBC with many wonderful, loving and gifted members. He has also blessed us by putting us in a community where there are many people who need the Gospel. That need for the Gospel means we have the chance to see God work miracles on a daily basis as He changes lives. We are at a church God wants to use for His glory.

As I think about 2011, the Lord has laid on my heart a few simple truths. First, we must love and know Him before we can begin to do anything that will really matter. As your pastor, my prayer is that we would daily grow closer to our Savior in a manner that transforms our lives. I am going to do my very best to preach messages, with all my heart, that will draw you into a deeper relationship with Him. On your part, I ask that you make it a daily habit to sit at His feet and read the Word and pray. As families, it is important that there are times of family devotion and worship separate from your time here at the church. I also know we must have biblical leadership, so every member needs to pray as we seek God’s will for both the youth and music pastors and for our staff as a whole. We have many gifted members with servant’s hearts. I believe God wants us to sharpen our gifts and hone our skills (1 Cor. 12). To this end, over the next year we will need to spend time developing training methods so we can constantly be equipping our leaders and members so that each person has the opportunity develop their gifts to their full potential. I want every member of TBC to thrive spiritually. After we equip, we have to provide the opportunity to use your gifts in a strategic manner that will have the greatest possible affect for the Kingdom of God. I believe you will see that if we act together, as a body, the way God intends, we are going to see something awesome unfold, though it may take time (years in fact).

2011 will be a year of preparation and seeing the new things God is at work doing in the life of TBC. It will be a time for us to draw near to God and to let Him form us, so that He can use us to help shape the lives of others. My guess is that when Thanksgiving 2011 rolls around we will be amazed by what He has prepared us to do, if not what he has already done. I look forward to growing with you and I am thankful for your desire to serve and worship the Lord with me.

Thankful,
