STAND ON GUARD FUND
“Members of our military, veterans, as well as their families, owe you and your organization, volunteers and staff, a debt of gratitude for championing their cause and engaging Canadians across the country. Your leadership and initiative in putting this issue squarely in front of Canadians has ensured that those of us who benefit most from the sacrifices of our service men and women, honour and recognize their contributions to our way of life.”
Richard K . Reznick, Chair of the Canadian Instutite for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR)
THE CHARITIES TPL FUNDED IN 2013/2014
In the wake of the killings on Canadian soil in October 2014, the Stand on Guard Fund was created by a third party group of dedicated, passionate Canadian citizens. The goal was to raise funds for the families of both Corporal Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent. Working in partnership with True Patriot Love, $700,000 was raised for both families in just 7 days.
“In the aftermath of those attacks, we showed our unity when regular citizens came together to provide support for the families of Cpl Cirillo and W O Vincent. Grassroots movements like Stand on Guard are the truest demonstrations of our nation standing together and supporting the members of our Canadian Armed Forces and their families.” - Shaun Francis, TPL Chair

OUR STRATEGYTPL aspires to ensure that all Canadians appreciate that the freedom we enjoy comes at a cost to the men and women who serve us, as well as to their families, and that all Canadians are engaged in supporting them.
STRATEGIC PLAN
• Our goal is to double our annual revenue by 2018 in order to meet the growing funding needs for essential programs and services for our service men and women, veterans and their families
• We will proudly continue to host Tribute Dinners across the country but are seeking to diversify our revenue stream and reduce fundraising costs by launching a Major Giving Portfolio
• Currently 90% of our revenue comes from corporate Canada; we will aim to engage the everyday Canadian by developing a broad-reaching strategy that speaks to all citizens
