TRUE PATRIOT LOVE FOUNDATIONFounded in 2009, True Patriot Love Foundation has become Canada’s leading organization supporting the military community. The foundation raises awareness around the challenges related to military service and funds programs for serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans and their families that support their well-being, enable rehabilitation and recovery from injury, assist the children and spouses of those who serve, and promote re-integration into communities following service. Since inception, True Patriot Love has committed over $28 million in funding to 825 community-based programs across the country, which has helped change the lives of more than 30,000 military members, Veterans and families.

Below are a few examples of the initiatives we’re proud to support.

Kids Help Phone Adaptive Sports Foundation

Kids Help Phone is building stronger military families by providing free 24/7 support to youth from the military and Veteran community through their Crisis Text Line.

The Adaptive Sports Foundation uses sport to assist injured military members and Veterans on their road to recovery and supports those who may be facing difficulties transitioning to life after service.

Prince’s Trust Canada

Volunteers at Prince’s Trust Canada business bootcamp are trained in mental health first aid to provide peer-support to Veterans advancing their entrepreneurial skills as they transition out of the military.

By providing disaster-relief to various communities, Veterans who volunteer with Team Rubicon Canada re-use skills learned in the military, and connect and build relationships with their peers to help support a healthy transition to civilian life.

ABOUT THE EVENTTrue Patriot Love Annual Tribute Gala The True Patriot Love Annual Tribute Gala is our signature fundraising event and Canada’s largest celebration in support of military members, Veterans and their families. The event brings together influential business and community leaders, distinguished military representatives and dignitaries to pay tribute to the military and Veteran community and honour the sacrifices they have made for our nation.

Our first Tribute Gala took place in 2009 and has since become our key fundraising event each year, with over $21M raised over the past decade for military and Veteran families in need.

Looking Back at the 2019 Tribute GalaOn November 7, 2019, Toronto’s corporate and community leaders came together to celebrate the 11th Annual Tribute Gala. Through powerful storytelling, this event brought to light the critical issues facing serving members, Veterans and their families. With over 850 guests in attendance, the event surpassed its goal raising $1.6 milllion, including fundraising over $182,000 on-site for Veterans’ House.

Our goal is to raise another $1.5 million at the 2020 Gala for Canada’s men and women in

uniform, and their families. We need your help to get there.
