Welcome to True North, Aberdeen’s new festival of music and song. We invite you to join us in the land of the balladeers for a celebration of the North-east’s legendary singer songwriter traditions. The style is diverse but the craft of song and a stack of awards is what unites a superb line up of artists.

We open with the soaring anthems of Fatherson and bring the curtain down with a celebration of the iconic Neil Young in his 70th year led by house band for the evening Roddy Hart & The Lonesome Fire and featuring Scotland’s finest. In between we bring you Ivor Novello award winning Tom Odell, MOJO magazine folk award winning The Unthanks and Scottish Album of the Year 2015 songwriter Katherine Joseph. Scottish Album of the year 2013 winner RM Hubbert hosts our late night festival club – perfect for topping off the evening with a drink, great food and chat.
