PillbugPillbugs and sowbugs are dark gray, 1/2 inch long, oval crustaceans that are humpbacked and appear to be covered with segmented armor. Pillbugs are different from sowbugs because pillbugs are able to roll themselves up into a ball when alarmed, and they lack the two prominent tail-like appendages.
