TRS 261: Enduring Questions in Catholic Theology Fall 2015 ASSIGNMENT 2 Due Date: December 10th Write a six to eight page paper (Times New Roman 12 point font, double spaced, with standard 1 inch margins) on a research topic related to the themes discussed in the second half of this course, chosen in consultation with me. Students must use at least one (1) primary source (other than Scripture), and at least three (3) secondary sources in this paper. At least one of your paper’s secondary sources must be an approved scholarly article that was not among our assigned readings, which you can access through one of CUA’s online library databases. Your paper must include proper bibliographic information for your sources, preferably following the Chicago Manual of Style (or Kate Turabian’s Manual for Writers). Please use footnotes and include a ‘Works Cited’ page at the end of your essay. Your paper does not need a cover page. Please proof-read your paper. Your paper must also include a clear introduction and conclusion. In your introduction, clearly identify your paper’s thesis and the method you will use to argue for that thesis. This paper is due by class-time on Thursday, December 10. Some sample topics (you are free to choose others): What is the nature of faith? How does revelation make use of symbols?
