STEP #1 – PRE-QUALIFICATION A Tropical Smoothie Café (TSC) franchise development representative will contact you to discuss some major areas associated with becoming a franchisee. Items to discuss include: Timing, Proposed Location, Restaurant Experience, Funding/Cash Available for Investment, Goals/Interests & Management. Prospect To-Do: Receive Online Brochure

STEP #2 – FRANCHISE APPLICATION Our franchise application is a brief 4-page document you complete that allows us to get to know you, your business background and experience, financial capabilities, goals and interests, management style, etc. The TSC franchise application is no cost and non-binding, and we keep your personal information 100% confidential. Prospect To-Do: Franchise Application, Drivers License Copy Returned to TSC

STEP #3 – FRANCHISE DISCLOSURE DOCUMENT (FDD) DELIVERY/BUSINESS PLANNING TOOLS DELIVERY FDD – By law, every franchisor must deliver to its prospective franchisees a copy of its FDD to ensure that the franchisee prospect has all pertinent information about the company, business model and every other aspect of our business relationship with franchisees. We will provide you with a simple guide to help you “dig in” to the FDD and all of its information. Prospect To-Do: FDD Receipt Page Returned to TSC

Business Planning Tools – We know that this is a big decision, one that requires a lot of due diligence on your part. In order to help you with this, we have created a template of a business plan and financial spreadsheets to help you in completing, organizing and analyzing the information you collect from our franchisees and your other research to complete your own business plan. If seeking financing for your TSC, most lenders will require a business plan and financial projections. The business plan you produce is for you and your lenders. We do not review it. STEP #4 – PROGRAM REVIEW Once you have expressed interest in a TSC franchise by filling out our application and have been pre-qualified by a TSC franchise development professional, we will set up a conference call with you to take a deeper look at TSC. Items discussed in this hour-long interactive presentation include the history and culture of TSC, marketing tactics, operational best practices, training and grand opening programs, real estate site selection, and Café build out… to name just a few. Prospect To-Do: Schedule Conference Call with TSC Representative

STEP #5 – DISCOVERY DAY/MEET THE TEAM DAY We’ll meet in your market, at our corporate office in Atlanta, GA, or via a Discovery Day presentation/conference call to give you more information on franchisee support, real estate procedures, design & construction process and assistance, and local and national marketing programs. If meeting in Atlanta, you will meet the team you will be working with as a franchisee, tour our corporate office, and learn more about TSC. Prospect To-Do: Attend the TSC Discovery Day

STEP #6 – FRANCHISE COMMITTEE APPROVAL Once our franchise committee has approved your application and we have all legally required documentation from you, we will draw up your franchise agreements for your execution. Once executed and returned to TSC Corporate Headquarters, CONGRATULATIONS! You are now a Tropical Smoothie Café franchisee! Prospect To-Do: Executed Franchise Agreements Returned to TSC
