These duties were previously provided by a tourism position in Cultural Resources. These duties will now be assignedto a dedicated position that will be a part of the Governor’s staff.

• Schedule, coordinate and prepare for functions at the Western Residence.
• Hosts and guides special tours of the Western Residence.
• Special projects as assigned by Western Residence Board of Directors and Residence
Director of the Executive Mansion.
• Coordinate house preparation for overnight quests.
• Help coordinate and prepare for Western Residence Board of Director meetings and assist
Board of Directors as needed.
• Orders, tracks and records routine maintenance and upkeep of Western Residence property
and grounds.
• Processes invoices and tracks expenditures
• Communicates all issues pertaining to Western Residence with Residence Director of the
Executive Mansion.
• Special Projects as assigned by the Western Regional Field Director.
• Represent the Governor and First Lady at various events in Western N.C.
• Assist Raleigh-based Governor’s Office staff as needed.
