INTRODUCTION
Trisar Resources has a 1001 working interest in the
mineral rights of twelve claims in Griffith Township in the
Eastern Ontario Mining Division. The claims which cover a
calcium-magnesium carbonate deposit, Straddle the contact

-~ The present report covers the results of a diamond
drilling program designed to determine the extent and
quality of crystalline dolomite on the property. The
program consisted of a total of 1158 feet of drilling in 5
holes spaced at 360 foot intervals along strike. The holes
were drilled at an inclination of 57 degrees to intersect
the dolomite at right angles.
Ultimately, the diamond drill core should be split
with half being used to analyze the physical and chemical
properties of the dolomite and the remainder being kept in
storage. If these analyses indicate that the quality of the
dolomite encountered in the surface trenches persists at
depth a bulk sample should be mined and processed and
samples prepared for marketing.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The location of the Trisar Highland Marble property
is in the unsurveyed territory of Griffith Township as shown
on figures l and 2. The property consists of unpatented
mining claims EO 593702, EO 593703, EO 593719, EO 593720,
EO 673504, EO 673505, EO 673506, EO 673507, EO 673508, EO
673509, EO 673510 and EO 673513 which cover an area of
approximately 194.25 hectares.
The property is located 2 kilometres south of
Highland Lake in northwest Griffith Township. Access to the
property is by a good gravel road which extends west from
the junction of Tooley and Black Donald Creeks, Brougham
Township, on Highway 41. The property is also accessible by
the old Lamberts Road which meets the latter road north of
Canoe Lake.

PREVIOUS EXPLORATION
Previous assessment data covering the Trisar
property was carried out by G. Pearse and consisted of a
geological survey/ an electromagnetic survey and power
stripping and blasting. Although the geology covers only 4
of the 12 claims, adequate surface dolomite outcroppings
were present to define the preliminary drill program. The
electromagnetic survey appears to identify the contact of
the dolomite with the granite intrusive and some conductors^
within the:: intrusive. i: ; r- -; .
In addition to the foregoing surface work, a
detailed sampling program of the dolomite exposed by
stripping and blasting was carried out in the fall of 1984.
These samples, which were sent to IMD Laboratories in
Toronto for beneficiation and processing, were determined to
provide a quality product for the mineral filler industry.
Based on these results a drilling program was recommended to
assess the quality of the deposit at depth.
GEOLOGY
The geology of the area is described in the 1981
Ontario Geological Survey Report 211 on the Geology of the
Khartum Area, Renfrew County by S.G. Themistocleous.
The general area is underlain by late Precambrian
metasediments and intrusive rocks. The metasediments are
calcitic marble and dolomitic marble derived from limestone
and impure limestones which have been metamorphosed to the
upper almandine - amphibolite metamorphic facies.
DIAMOND DRILLING
Five inclined diamond drill holes totalling 1158
feet in length were drilled to determine the width, attitude
and composition of the orebody at depth. The drilling which
was on a contract basis with Eastern Ontario Diamond
Drilling Limited commenced innate October and was completed

The location of the holes are shown on the
accompanying surface plan map attached as Appendix A.
Diamond drill logs and sketchs of diamond drill locations
form Appendix B of this report. Vertical sections of the
wells are incorporated as Appendix C.
The rock type encountered during drilling was
primarily a massive very coarse grained crystalline
dolomitic marble. Minor amounts of muscovite, 1mm or less
in size, and making up less than D.1% of the marble is
scattered randomly throughout. Some sections of the massive
marble have minor amounts of green to brown streaking which
discolors the marble. These streaks are usually one inch in

thickness or less, but occassionally they are as wide as two
to six inches. The discoloration and streaking is usually
very fine grained but on occassion fine to medium grained
crystals have developed. These crystals are thought to be
of diopside, mica, epidote and minor tremolite. These
minerals are probably the general composition of streaking.
Fine grained black diabasic dikes intrude the
massive marble section. These dikes range from one to three
feet in thickness. At times the massive marble adjacent to
the dike has a pinkish tinge.
Two other rock types or zones of mineralization were
encountered while drilling DDK No. 85 2. A 19 foot section
of very coarse grained pure phologopite (biotite) was
encountered at a depth of 19 feet. At 169 feet until total
depth a skarn was intersected. The medium to coarse grained
skarn was composed of 5 0* crystals of plologopite, garnet,
diopside and pyroxene (amphibole) in a 5 Q* matrix of pinkish
to white coarsely crystalline marble. Crystals were up to 3
inches in length.
The core is presently being stored in Griffith,
Ontario at the Pine Grove Cottages. DDK No. 85 3 was
unavailable for logging at the time of writing this report.
DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
Except for DDK No. 85 2 all holes were drilled
entirely within the massive coarsely crystalline white
marble. In spite of the green to brown streaking and the
occassional intrusion of a diabase dike, extensive sections
of relatively pure high quality massive white dolomitic
marble were encountered.
CONCLUSIONS AR1 RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Significant sections of relatively pure
crystalline dolomite exist at depth.
2. The drill core should be split and half the core
forwarded to IMD Laboratories in Toronto for evaluation of
the quality of the deposit at depth.
3. The results of IMD's evaluation of the core used
in conjunction with results from the trench samples should
be able to outline an area in which relatively pure bulk
sample of dolomite can be mined.
4. A five to ten ton bulk sample should be mined
and products prepared for the various filler markets
followed by distribution of product samples to potential
consumers.
