HEARING IMPAIRED
Pocket-sized receivers with ear buds are available to be checked out
during the Worship Service from the sound booth at the rear of the
sanctuary.
ELDER INVITATION
Following morning worship, the elders will be available to members
and guests for prayer and ministry. Simply come to the front of the
sanctuary where we will be glad to: pray for your personal needs, lead
you in receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior, discuss church
membership.
January 18, 2015
ESPECIALLY FOR OUR GUESTS
We are glad to have you worship with us today. You
are worshiping with people who experience the
same difficulties of life as you. We have nothing to
boast about except the God we worship. Please relax
and focus upon the Lord Jesus who loves you and
desires for you to follow Him. While God has surely
led you here, you likely still have a number of im-
portant questions about us; how to get more involved and connected in
meaningful relationships or about your own personal or spiritual needs.
If so, please allow us to help you by completing the guest registration
inside the back cover or by coming forward during the invitation time.

Why won't they listen? Have you wondered why your
witnessing falls flat and people fail to respond? Many
comment that science has disproved the Bible and there-
fore it is not relevant to today's modern world. But what's
the answer? Can the majority of scientists really be
wrong? Discover the answers with Dr. Jonathan Sarfati of
Creation Ministries International when he comes to Trinity on Sunday,

January Book Recommendation:
The Pursuit of God, by A. W. Tozer
This is a spiritual classic of what it means to follow after God in
a way that is practical but also relational with God.
And we know that God causes all things to work together
for good to those who love God, to those who are called
according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 NASB

Why Do You Believe That?
Author Mary Jo Sharp is a former atheist from the Pacific Northwest, who thought
religion was for the weak-minded. She is now a Christian author
and apologist. She holds a Masters in Christian Apologetics
from Biola University and is the first woman to become a Certi-
fied Apologetics Instructor through the North American Mis-
sion Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Mary Jo is a
clear communicator with a heart for people, and she finds great
joy in sharing the deep truths of her Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ.
How confident do you feel in talking about matters of faith? Do
you wish you could express your beliefs with more effective-
ness? Join us in a practical seven-session study and gain under-
standing and skills to share Jesus effectively with others. You
will also understand your own faith better. Answer your doubts, build your confi-
dence, and start changing lives. Do not be afraid to ask, “Why do I believe that?”
Register on the large bulletin board in the south hallway. Cost is $20.
Childcare is NOT provided.
Tuesday mornings, January 20--March 3, 9:30 a.m.—11:30 a.m.
Led by Gina Rogers
COLD-CASE CHRISTIANITY You can believe because of the evidence, not in spite of it.
Christianity could be defined as a “cold case”: It makes a claim
about an event from the distant past for which there is little foren-
sic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace uses
his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at
the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Includ-
ing gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he
developed in the courtroom, he uses illustration to examine the
powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity. The
historic truth claims of Christianity are under attack from every
direction. If ever there was a time to study the case for the eye-
witness reliability of the gospels, the time is now.
“Jim Wallace was an angry atheist for many years. Today, he is one of the most
thoughtful and winsome apologists for the gospel I know. Cold-Case Christianity is
packed with insights to share with skeptics and will give you the confidence to share
them.” Dr. Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life. This is a 7-week study
which will include two 50-minute videos from Cold-Case Resurrection.
Registration deadline is TODAY. Cost for the workbook is $20. Childcare is only
available by reservation, deadline TODAY. Sign up on the large bulletin board in
the south hallway.

Ephesians— The Church: Rooted in Love, Walking in Power
Chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world, targeted by
grace, sons of God united in a single family, inheritors, holy, re-
deemed, forgiven, raised from the dead and seated with Jesus Christ
in the heavenlies! How can you not study Ephesians?!
Before Paul even hints at how believers should live, he lays a rock-
solid foundation: who we are in Christ! If you think you’re just a cog
in a machine, if you don’t know your true identity, then this study is
for you. Praise God for what He planned in eternity past and is wait-
ing to reveal to you now...through the study of His Word. Learn who and what you
are in Christ, and you’ll want to walk God’s ways the rest of your life.
Precept Upon Precept Bible Studies provide a way to study the Bible in a focused,
verse-by-verse manner. Precepts uses inductive study, which involves seeing truth
for yourself, discerning what it means, and applying the truth to your life.
Registration and childcare reservations are due TODAY. The cost is $30. Sign up
on the large bulletin board in the south hallway.
Tuesday mornings, February 3—March 24, 9:30 a.m.—11:30 a.m.
Led by Nancy Peavler
Gideon: Your Weakness. God’s Strength. Gideon’s story is so much bigger than any one man and his mark
on Israel’s history. Like everything else in the Bible, this is a sto-
ry about God and His people, His love for them, as well as His
strength operating in spite of their weakness, even through their
weakness. And because God’s people includes you and me, Gide-
on’s story is also about OUR lives, doubts, struggles, and our pos-
sibilities as believers. From a state of fear, weakness, and insecu-
rity, Gideon emerged as Israel’s hero, filled with God’s presence
and passion for deliverance. This study will encourage you to
recognize your weakness as the key that the Lord gives you to
unlock the full experience of His strength in your life. What lies ahead in your jour-
ney is not nearly as critical as where you are right now. Wherever you are now is
where you are meant to serve now. These innermost circles are often the ones that
offer the least amount of recognition. This is why so many people try to circumvent
them. Yet your greatest impact will be done here, in the ordinary rhythms of your
daily living. This is a seven session study which will include weekly videos and
workbook discussion. The workbook includes five days of light homework each
week.
Childcare reservations must be made by January 18. The cost of the workbook is
$15. Sign up on the large bulletin board in the south hallway.
