A Special Thank You Note Harvest Day is one time of the year when our women have a sit-down lunch in Trinity and experience the privilege of being served by our Trinity Men. It was such a treat to feel like princesses for a day, thanks to the following Trinity Men: Mac Elledge, John Taylor, Ken Cardoza, Bob Passmore, John Rollison, Joe Andrews and Chick Hadden. Also, this year, to complete our princess status for the day, we were privileged to have the following God’s men help us clean-up Trinity Hall: Shaw Blackmon, Bob Sommerville, Joe Morgan and Rob Johnson. Thank you all so much for your willingness to help make Harvest Day so special for us.

Janet Sommerville on behalf of Mary Hetzel and Erin Cundiff

Dear Everyone,

Words cannot begin to express our deep gratitude for all the help you had extended in one way or another to make our Harvest Day such a special celebration. Rev. Amy delivered a very inspiring message this morning. And it touched me just as I am sure it did everyone else who participated in the service this morning. Charles sang and played great music, and Kelly as usual came through with our delicious brunch. Yummy! To top it all God heard our prayers when we just had some gentle rain. All in all, it was a great day! Thank you, Lord. We've been praying daily that we will have a very meaningful Harvest Day Experience today and we did.

Again, thank you so much for all of your help, and it was a pleasure working with all of you.

For 115 years United Methodist Family Services has partnered with the United Methodist Church to enrich the lives of children. The need today is still as great as it was one hundred years ago and our partnership just as strong. Your congregation’s support of the UMFS Offering: Gifts of Hope will respond to the prayers of thousands of children, youth, and families that have suffered abuse, neglect, crisis, and trauma in Virginia. UMFS (United Methodist Family Services) serves more than 10,000 individuals annually through strength-based programs and services that heal, educate, and empower. UMFS is an unwavering champion for high risk children and families and your gifts will help us to create a world where caring, opportunities and generosity are passed down from generation to generation. Giving to UMFS is above and beyond gifts to the local church. UMFS does not receive any funds through apportionments and your support goes directly to the children we serve. Your support makes a difference. If you have further questions, please contact Rev. Joe Torrence. We also recommend that you visit our website www.umfs.org for more information.
