Dearly Beloved,
Greetings to you in the name our Lord Jesus Christ.“ Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus”.( Phili.2:5).As he written Paul was a Christ-minded man. In his fervent love for God , and
constant attitude of prayer and communion, he was Christ-minded. Like Christ, in his diligent endeavor to always do and say on that which was for the glory of God. In his poise and calmness in the midst of storm and stress, he revealed the true inner peace of Christ. In his righteous indignation which constrained him to take definite action, he was one with his Lord. His “spirit was stirred with in him when he saw a city wholly given to idolatry” as Christ was when he saw the temple of God given over to commercialism. In his love for his co-workers and in his deep affection and concern for them, he is typical of his Lord. From the depths of a heart of love he wrote, “My brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and my crown”. In his willingness for self-sacrifice, we see his conformity to the image of Christ. In all truth and modesty he could say, “What things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ”. His position, learning and wealth
were humbly laid at the foot of the cross. Thus Paul, in all his words and deeds , was a Christ-minded person. Paul challenges us to have Christ-mindedness in our lives, as which we need more than else in this modern age. If, in various situations which face us day by day, we who name Christ as our Lord could react in a Christ-like way , it would bring great glory to the name of our Lord. Each believer who strive for Christ-mindedness would be a great witness to people around us. Therefore, let us be the presence of our Lord wherever we are through having Christ-like attitudes, words and deeds. I request your prayers and support towards our Thanks giving programs and Trinity Center project. In Au-gust, we have Harvest festival on 3rd Sunday and also we plan for some mission outreach programs. Our Parish is hosting the Women’s Retreat of the South west Center B from Aug.8-10,2014. We are at a stage to sign the contract for the construction of the Trinity Center. I look forward for kind participation in all the programs and projects. Joining hands together is a great blessing. So, Let us join our hands together a Christ like to fulfill all these in a wonderful way.

Inter Prayer Group Mega Bible QuizAs part of the 40th Year Thanksgiving Programs, an inter-prayer groupBible quiz will be held on Sunday, September 21st after service. Teams will consist of 5 members from each prayer group. The purpose of thisevent is to study from God’s Word and support our fellow parishionersin the spirit of unity and fun. 80% of the questions will be from Nehemiah and Mark. 20% of the remaining questions will be aboutgeneral knowledge of the Bible and the MarThoma Church.
A Quiz Master will ask questions and 1 minute is allowed to write down the answer. The proctor would read out the answer after allanswers to the particular question is collected. Right answer will get 1point and displayed on screen.
If any of the groups did not answer correctly, the Quiz Master will getthe point. In the end, all correct answers are tabulated and the group with the highest score will be declared as champions. There is only one champion and no second place winner. The Quiz Master makes the final decision about the answers.
All area representatives are kindly asked to discuss this event in yourupcoming area prayers to choose the team members and to begin preparation for this event.
