On November 18, 2015, Six Rivers National Forest staff and members of TCCG subgroup visited areas burned by wildfire to discuss management treatments.
From Fire kill to Fuelbreak treatment methods: Harvest fire-killed dead trees (no green foliage at time
of harvest) on both sides of open public roads - would not exceed 300 ft. width (not including the width of the road, shoulder to shoulder)
Minimum width either side of the road would be 25 feet Ground-based logging systems No new roads or temporary roads
Forest Service identifies potential treatment areas
Forest Service excludes treatments within the Lassics wilderness
Forest Service excludes treatments within Inventoried Roadless Area
Forest Service excludes treatments within Special Interest Area
Forest Service identifies treatments defining the proposed action
