Dear Parents,
Last week the 2018 Classroom Allocations for the teachers was circulated to parents. Again in 2018 we will be operating 21 grades divided into three separate learning areas. The Junior Learning Area (Marian Building), the Middle Learning Area (Joyce Building) and the Senior Learning Area (Allen Building).
We are blessed here at Trinity to have a very professional and capable staff who put the students first in their decision making and regularly go over and above what is expected to provide the best opportunities they can for the children in their care. Teachers plan together to ensure that the curriculum is delivered in a consistent manner across all of the classrooms.
As parents we are the biggest influencing factor for our primary school age children to ensure that their transition from classroom to classroom is as smooth as it can be. A positive attitude from parents and gentle encouragement to your children that they will be fine goes a long way. It is said that they only constant in life is change. Therefore it is important that we develop the skills within our children to not just cope with change, but to make it a very successful change in their lives. We also must be careful that we are not putting our fears or anxieties onto our children.
The classes and rooms are listed below;

Christmas Outreach Appeal.
Christmas is a very special and exciting time for families, but it can also be a very stress-ful time, especially for those experiencing financial hardship or illness. To help ease this pain, Trinity has once again teamed up with St Vincent de Paul in the hope of providing many families within the local community with a hamper filled with Christmas food and appropriate gifts. For two weeks from the 28th November – 8th December, a Christmas tree will be placed in the atrium when families have the opportunity to generously donate non-perishable items of Christmas food, small gifts or loose change. If you are able to assist us in reaching out to those in need, we would greatly appreciate your support.

Advent
A time of anticipation and preparation. Advent is a time of prayer and preparation towards the coming of Christ. Normally, many people have an advent calendar to show how many days till Christmas. Children nearly always have chocolate in their advent calendar, but this is not the true meaning of Advent. Advent prepares you for the birth of Christ and comes from the Latin word meaning “coming.” Jesus is coming, and Advent is intended to be a season of preparation for His arrival. While we typically regard Advent as a joyous season, it is also intended to be a period of preparation, much like Lent. People around the world get ready to celebrate Christ’s birth with the focus on reaching out to others in need. The season of Advent officially begins this Sunday 3rd December. As we only have 4 weeks left of school, we began our Advent focus last week. Each week the students will explore the Sunday Gospel and their morning prayer will focus on lighting the Advent candles of HOPE, PEACE, JOY and LOVE. It will be a time for them to reflect on how they can prepare for the birth of Jesus and what they can do to reach out to those in need.
First Week of Advent Scripture Reference: Mark 13:33-37 Focus: HOPE
We know that Jesus came to save us. Still we do things that are wrong and turn away from God. The Advent readings remind us that not only did Jesus come, but he will come again. We must be ready, since we do not know when the Son of God will return. This week we light the first purple candle, the HOPE candle. The Candle of Hope is also referred to the Prophecy Candle. We can have hope because God is faithful and will keep the promises made to us. Our hope comes from God. Mary trusted God. He sent the Angel Gabriel to tell Mary that she was to have God’s son and she willingly accepted.
CONFIRMATION
Congratulations to our Year 6 students who received the
Sacrament of Confirmation recently.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments
through which Catholics pass in the process of their religious upbringing.
According to Catholic doctrine, in this sacrament people are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and are strengthened in their Christian
life.

Trinity Christmas Outreach
Dear Parents / Guardians,
This year the Social Justice Leaders have teamed up with St Vincent de Paul to assist them in their
Christmas Outreach Project. Christmas is a very special and exciting time for families, but it can also
be a very stressful time, especially for those experiencing financial hardship or illness. To help ease
this pain, St Vincent de Paul are hoping to provide many families within our local community with a
hamper filled with Christmas food and appropriate gifts. This is where our students can help. For two
weeks from the 28th November – 8th December a Christmas tree will be placed in the atrium. We are
asking families to generously donate non-perishable items of Christmas food during this time and
kindly place it around the tree. There will also be a Christmas box where donations and loose change
can be placed in order to assist with the purchasing of age appropriate gifts. If you are able to assist
us in reaching out to those in need we would greatly appreciate your support.
Kind Regards
Kathryn Pepper

TRINITY CAR PARK ETIQUETTE For greater safety and visibility, we are requesting that all
drivers reverse park into the marked bays.
Thank you all who use the pedestrian crossing area. You are demonstrating to your children correct road safety practices. Once children cross the pedestrian crossing into the parking area, they, for their safety, need to be placed into vehicles promptly. The car park is NOT a meeting area.
The lane around the edge of the car park (closest to the oval) are for vehicles waiting to pick children up from the Pick-up Zone ONLY.
The two parking bays closest to the office path are the PICK-UP ZONES. These are NO STANDING zones. I f your children are not ready to get into your car as you pull up to the pick-up zone, you must continue on and rejoin the end of the pick-up queue.
There is NO RIGHT TURN when exiting the car park. All vehicles must turn left for the safety of others and to maintain traffic flow.
THE GATES CLOSE AT 9.00am AND RE-OPEN AT 3.00pm. Occasionally they might re-open slightly later due to school activities.
The Staff Car Park is for STAFF PARKING ONLY. Please do not use as a drop off/pick up for students.
Thank you for your patience and consideration of others.
