Brooke was a part of the 13th Annual Cowboy Poetry and Western Music event that took place this weekend in Lawler. A freewill offering will be collected after the service. We hope everyone enjoyed this special entertainment. Due to the flu & cold season, we will withhold from shaking hands during the sharing of the peace and Pr. Kevin’s greeting following worship. Mark your Calendar Camp Courageous of Iowa Presentation will be coming to Kensington Place Assisted Living, 504 Short Avenue, New Hampton on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Feel free to join us for a snack and a chat. FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEERS : February is Trinity's turn to help supply volunteers to work at the New Hampton Food Pantry. The pantry is open every Friday morning from 9 am to noon. The Mission Cross contribution project for January is the "Soap-er" Bowl. We will be collecting all

kinds of soap: laundry, bar, body wash, hand soap, dish soap, etc. for the Food Pantry. Thank you to

everyone who donated hats, gloves, scarves, and socks for the local school children. The weather has

definitely made all of these items necessary!

If you would like to be a Communion Assistant, please contact our Communion coordinator,

Donna Throndson at 641-330-7239. Communion is served the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month.

Event Rescheduled

The Extension Office has rescheduled the Caregiving Relationships: Conversations on Aging program for adult

children supporting their aging caregiver parents. The two sessions are now scheduled for February 5th & 19th,

6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 223 S. Water St. New Hampton, IA. It is not too late to sign up,

RSVP by February 1st. For more information, contact Sarah Merrifield at the Chickasaw County Extension Office,

641-394-2174. Check out the display in the Narthex.

On February 20 at 7:00 the Trinity Book Club will meet at the home of Vi Sullivan to

discuss Bitter Sweet by LaVyrle Spencer. Maggie struggles with grief due to her husband's

death. Eric struggles with an unhappy marriage. Could these high school sweethearts

follow a dream from the past, or had they missed a chance of a lifetime?

Would you like to be a Greeter? Give Muriel Meyer a call at 394-4434,

if you would be able to greet before service on Sunday mornings.
