As part of Trinasolar’s continuous efforts to offer you the best solar modules on the market, we would like to inform you of the following changes to Trina modules DUOMAX.
1. Scope of change: Edge banding
a) During lamination process, EVA will melt and outflow to the edges of the glass; the solidified EVA
will act as additional protection against knocks and lower the risk of breakage.
b) Installation
There is no impact to installation methods with the addition of Edge Banding. Please refer to Trina’s
installation manual for details.

2. Scope of Change: Trina Split J-Box
a) Trina Split J-box adopts plug welding process, which can reduce the cold joint and improve the
reliability of modules.
b) Cable output at 45° angle and length is increased to meet the requirements of the maximum
bending radius

3. Implementation The edge banding and split JBox will be implemented in production from 1st October, 2016. Due to transition period and inventory status, delivery of modules with these upgrades may vary amongst customers. There are NO technical or performance issues from installing current and new DUOMAX modules in the same PV system. For any inquiries please contact your local Sales Representative.
