    CREATION OF INTERNAL ALLOYED LAYER WITHIN A LOW

    CARBON STEEL MATRIX BY PLASMA ARC SURFACING PROCESS

    Abstract: In the present work are investigated the creation

    possibilities of internal alloyed layer with high carbon contend and

    decreased hardness within a low carbon matrix using a method of

    preliminary coated graphite based alloying material by the plasma

    arc surfacing process with solid wire electrode. There are obtained

    experimental results after metalographic analysis and

    microhardness profile within the surfaced metal. The investigation

    is related to the topic and is funded by the Ministry of Education

    and Science according to the contract � � � �
