● Lake Ontario and Lake Huron has increased by 2.8°F and 5.2°F, respectively, from 1968 and 2002, and Lake Superior’s summer surface water temperatures increased by about 4.5°F from 1979 and 2006
● Agricultural runoff and sewage overflows from severe storms contribute to the rise in algal blooms
