There was vast desserts and warm seas CLIMATE The period was very warm The land was rather dry In Winter it was very chilly, however in Summer in was boiling hot MAMMALS AND OTHER ANIMALS The oceans teemed with the coiled shelled ammonites, molusks, and sea urchins. It is thought that the end-Triassic extinction was the key moment that allowed the dinosaurs to become the dominant land animals on Earth.
