After consigning to the Cattleman’s ClassicBull Sale for many years, our herd hasexpanded to the point that we ventured outto establish our own Charolais bull sale.Once again we would like to welcome theDoetzel and Ginter families with their Angusbulls. Great people with great cattle! This year we celebrated our 30thAnniversary in the Charolais business whichmakes us very proud considering theaverage lifespan of a purebred breeder is 7years. We have seen many changes alongthe way from selling private treaty, toconsigning in the Douglas/Yellowhead/Roblin test stations, to consigning in theCattleman’s Classic to finally hosting ourown bull sale. Throughout the years we

have had many high gainers and sellers in each respective sale. The one thing we have enjoyed the most in the last 30 years is thepeople. From the pioneer, with his wisdom, to the young man, who is setting out to change the breed. We have enjoyed listeningto them all and have made several lifelong friends because of it. As we look at our bull pen, we are very proud of what we have to offer. Our bulls offer calving ease, performance, structuralsoundness, quiet dispositions… in a red, white or tan package. One thing we hope you appreciate is a large majority of ourpurebred herdsires start their breeding careers in our large commercial herd regardless to the price we paid for the bull. By doingthis it allows us to see how our genetics work in our cross breeding program. Questions answered.. calving ease, vigor, colourpatterns, bull libido and most importantly buyer demand. These traits are all highly inheritable and easily measured in a nononsense environment. We welcome you to our first annual bull sale. You are welcome to stop by the farm anytime for a coffee and we would love to showyou the bulls. The cattle business is our business and everyone is included.

Thanks, The Nykoliations

Welcome to the 1st Tri-N and Guests Bull Sale. This isn’t the first sale for the Nykoliations by a longstretch but they have built up their numbers and their program to where they have enough numbersto be the main contributor in offering a quality set of bulls to a sale. This program has been evolvingfor 30 years and the quality of the white, tan and dark red cattle is worth the trip. Tri-N have developeda reputation for producing solid breeding cattle in both Canada and the U.S.A. with the genetics going

on and working for their customers. The Agribition Champion MVY X-plorer turned out to be a heifer bull extraordinary with ravereviews from any who used this bull marketed by Genex. They kept a great homozygous red son of the Pro-Char Cptn Morgan, whom they purchased as a mature bull, Tri-N Captain Morgan, who has some of the best red bulls available this spring. Calvingease, soundness, hair, there is something for everyone here. As an added bonus they DNA tested for homozygous red and polledon some of the bulls. Also consigning this year is Nu-Horizon Angus who were involved in the Cattlemen’s Classic sale previously. They have offered up avery good selection of black and red Angus yearling bulls with solid pedigrees and type to work for the buyer. As well the BASKMAngus operation have besides a high quality yearling, some older age black bulls which will go out and cover extra cows if that iswhat you need. Mark April 2nd on your calendar and come see us at Virden. If Candace or I can be of any assistance before the sale or on sale day, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We would be happy tofind you a bull that is right for your program and make your bull buying experience a pleasant one.

Here on our farm we raise calves forbackgrounding, so they must have the EPD to calve easy, wean, and gainhard. Tri-N genetics have done this for us and the animals are fitting wellinto our herd. It is our pleasure to welcome everyone to the 1st Annual Tri-N Charolais Farms &Guests Bull Sale. We would like to take this time to thank Merv Nykoliation andfamily, for letting us co-sign another strong group of Angus Bulls to the sale. OurFamily has been in the cattle business for over 15 years with a commercial BlackAngus herd. Over the years we have been acquiring groups of Purebred BlackAngus Females from some very well respected Angus Breeders. Our goal is toraise low birth weight, performance packed, functional Purebred Seed Stockthat the commercial cattlemen demand. And in doing so we have attained asolid Purebred Angus herd of 30 females, with another 50 commercial cows aswell. We hold our purebred cows to the same standard as our commercial herd.We look for trouble free, functional cattle; cattle that can take care of themselvesout on pasture, or when bale grazing in the winter, and we expect these cattleto perform. We also seek cows that have excellent structure, with a solid footunder them, and also those good maternal traits like mothering ability, andpicture perfect udders. We calve in April and May and have just started selling

two year old bulls. We feel that selling two year old bulls is an advantage for us and our customers because they can expect these bulls are goingto go out and breed a lot of cows and not go downhill. These bulls are weaned at the end of December and go onto hay and straight oat rationwhere they are meant to grow. Then they go out to pasture and graze all summer long, and come back in the fall and are put back on an oatration. These bulls are meant to last a long time and we feel our customers will see that satisfaction in purchasing two year old bulls. The bulls wehave on offer this year are all exceptional herdsire prospects, with low birth weights and performance behind them. We have on offer 1 yearling, and 2 two year old Black Angus bulls, along with an Angus cross Hereford F1 Hybrid bull. If you have any questions about our offering, please feel free to call or stop in any time for a visit! We look forward to seeing you sale day.
