Attendance Awareness Keisha Gaymon, Acting Principal, Harrison School On Monday, April 1, 2019 Harrison Elementary School launched their official attendance video for why Everyday Matters. It was a school wide effort of fun, creativity, and dancing while keeping in mind why it’s important for students to come to school. The cleverness of using some of the most popular tunes from songs such as “Baby Shark” and “Level Up” helped motivate the students in their participation of the video. It is our hope that through our launch of the Attendance Awareness Campaign those students continue the excitement and share their knowledge with others about the importance of coming to school every day. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EnKIs_YTARQI1q5b9MS6nw6iqQ72eVb6/view?usp=drivesdk National Autism Awareness Month Keisha Gaymon, Acting Principal, Harrison School April 2nd of each year is dedicated to Autism Awareness Day. Family Arts Night Kim Page, Principal, Washington School

On May 2, 2019 at 5:30pm approximately 100 family members came together for Family Arts Night to Create Silk Screened Tea Towels with teaching artist Molly Johnson from Young Audiences. Each family had the opportunity to work together to create a screen design for their tea towel. By the end of the evening families were sharing their screens and combining designs. The families worked side by side with their children to create Carnival masks complete with feathers and glittery sequins. A fabulous time was had by all.
